It’s like advocating for 2 clubs in Perth- they’re covered with 1 and a 2nd will just dilute the other and struggle for its own niche

Playing out of Eden Park is interesting but that's it. Of course if they find money may leapfrog other bids. Imagine we get easts tigers & Auckland 2?!

Love that a site I read about the bid starts with Auckland putting hat in for bid when they already have the Warriors and yes might be NZ Warriors but based in Auckland, if it is from South Island would work maybe but otherwise I think not and also I thought the PNG team were including the pacific teams and even if accepted again who will give the money to keep them stable if the Pacific Rugby Teams struggle,

Where’s that dope that said north harbour was a better stadium than mt smart

He probably thinks the new team should be based there

Bears delay has set back nz to the end of the year and further delays could see Ipswich get the bid

Once Vegas is done they will be focusing on the tv deal so nz2 won’t be a priority

From Warriors CEO:
Second team will be awesome and commercially tick boxes
Needs a 5 year plan from NRL to invest in local systems before a new team comes in
Need to build NZ competitions so no need to fly 6 teams over to Australia for comps
When systems in place second team should come in. At moment just not there.

He’s an idiot if he thinks that’s going to really happen and just wants to save the warriors the cost do flying over junior sides to Australia

Nz comps no matter how much money is thrown at them will never compare to the nswrl / qrl systems

Plus kids get used to travel to Australia which is a big part of playing for Kiwi sides

Why? Seems to me you've been telling us there's a huge amount of latent talent in NZ between League and Union.
Why couldnt there be 8-10 clubs of QRL cup level in NZ?
End of day it only comes down to two things. Investment and player depth.
If NRL spent the same in NZ as Queensland ($27million) then why couldn't there be
U17's, U19's and reserve grade level comps in that country of equal strength?

Even if they spent 30 million pa on a local comp the standard would be crap cause it’s them facing each other and not elite Aussies

Why do you think the best kiwi players aren’t produced by the warriors

All the talent in the world won’t make up for being used to playing 80 minutes of top level each week

Remember when the wahs used to lose games in the last ten minutes all the time despite having huge leads

Warriors ceo is just trying to get benefits for his club not necessarily what’s best for nz2

Orcas have said they will be investing in local academies around nz

Those kids then feed into the under 16 to under 21 who play in the Aussie comps

lol, given the alleged talent you keep telling us about in NZ their comp could be 'more elite' than the Aussie ones

Its like you cant understand that if you developed 10 NZ clubs to QRL cup level they would be playing elite level every week. So why is it that you think that a NZ club, with the right funding, couldnt develop to QRL level? Seems to me with all that talent sitting around it wouldnt be too hard a task.
