Last two overs they’ve tried way too much fancy stuff and got punished for it. Before that they were bowling well.

We’ve created a sense of false depth by having this assortment of rank average cricketers who regularly come in and out and worse, perform once in a while.

It’s judgement time now and we’re trying to build a credible World Cup XI, and the fringe plodders are being found out pretty fast; in reality we only have three or four guys who’d even guarantee selection.

We’re in trouble.

And what is going on with this f**king fielding, Baz and his men would save 10-15 runs out of basically sheer will since we already were a good fielding outfit. We’ve gone the other way now and slip runs and catches everywhere.

Hate watching us coasting, losing I can deal with. Get it together.

In no way should the names C De Grandhomme or C Munro be going to the World Cup. Both are inconsistent and only in because they have big levers. CDG is a good all round test cricketer but a woeful limited overs performer.

I’m not sold on Bracewell. I just don’t see it. Neesham good bat but poor bowler.

You’ve summed it up. It’s the part timers jack of all trades masters of none that have us in a pickle.

Another edge that falls short of slip; not satisfied, Guppy skies one straight to third man.

Absolutely abysmal

Kane goes on the attack, 6-6-4-2, then chops on and it’s goodnight.

Taylor remains the last real hope, 51-2

I'm struggling with all the negative stuff here... they're choking a little but big picture guys, they're not the Warriors and actually have generally been good

TBH flat wickets don't help us much, and like India we're trying combinations before the WC

Taylor isn't the last hope, they bat deep
Lol would hate to hear what you lot think of a true failure like KiwiBuild

I see McMillan brought out the Munro is hitting them well in the nets argument

As they showed in Straya the Indian attack is good

I know it’s negative. But. My Christ this is an abjectly poor batting performance.

I like the optimism, but we're getting found out big time and it's worrying.

Australia put up more of a fight than this, at least they put up competitive scores and could genuinely claim they're missing their best two bats and have geniused selectors. After getting owned in the first ODI we served up an uninspired bowling effort, complete with pies, beamers, misfields and drops. At least three of our bowlers are part time plod at best. Rohit and Dhawan gifted us their wickets else they were headed to 350+.

Williamson and Taylor aside, the batting is inconsistent and flakey. This is good batting deck, Guptill was appalling and now the middle order is again getting destroyed by spin. Yes Taylor was the best shot we had going the distance. We don't really bat deep, we have a bunch of middle to lower order batsman who are good on their day but will crumble in the heat.

We're not a bad side, will be competitive in the World Cup, but we're not in the running like 2015 unless we dramatically pick it up.

Lol @ KiwiBuild - no arguments there.

CDG out.
Bracewell in for the World Cup.

Biggest question mark is who opens with Guptill. George Worker perhaps?
