Yeah this was posted in the Targets thread this morning.

Him and Boyd would be a dream.

And don't forget our most recent signing ... Snowden.

If we can sign both Boyd and Miles, this would give us the quality players that we need to consistently make the semi's ... and lets dream ... win a grand final under coach bennett.

Not sure though how we fit all three under the salary cap.

It's amazing what 6 months can do, remember the days of signing Luke Davico and being linked to Carl Webb?

Please no.

I love the $300K price limit for forwards, at elast it would stop the signing of overpaid losers.

as has been shown at Melbourne and the Dragons, No name forwards work, saves money, simple roles, uncomplicated. Yes the hooker can be paid a fraction more.

Huh? You can't be serious? Do you know who Antiono Kafusi is? I die a little on the inside when I see put on a knights jersey...

ummm the dragons have 3 rep quality props, 2 rep backrowers and a utility forward who's played for Australia, last year they had a QLD origin forward and a NZ test backrower.
Wayne will improve our current players but you can only polish a turd so much, guys like Tolar, Karawana, Kaufusi are regular 1st graders for us and will never be anything special

Good post Aqua, Though Karawana isn't a bad depth signing on $55k.
he offers nothing, regardless of how much he's getting paid, today Marvin Filipo, a guy who was playing park footy the last few years showed more in 1 game than the other Marvin has his entire career

He was playing against an injured Berrigan playing the worst game of his career though. Still he looked alright.

Just a stat from today; our 4 props (Richie, Evarn, Ak, Mark T) between them made 261m in combined 160mins of game time, Myles and Snowden between them made 259m during a combined gametime of 131mins. Oh and our 4 props combined averaged 7.9m/hit up, Myles and Snowden combined averaged 8.6m/hit up
In conclusion Myles and Snowden sh*t on out current props. In fact I think Myles should be a priority, he plays long minutes in the middle of the park and is aggressive

*Shit on some of our current props. Fa'aso and Tuimavave put up just as good numbers at Snowden and Myles if you take into account they play 20min less per game.

You also have to realise this side plays an expansive style of footy, which doesnt lend itself to the props taking hit-up after hit-up one off the ruck, like the Sharks do, and Roosters do to an extent.

Now Kaufusi on the other hand just doesnt cut it as a first grade prop at the moment. Im hoping Bennett can get the Melbourne 2006 form back from him. He has the size and athleticism to do it, just doesnt put the body on the line like a guy his size should.

EDIT: Ill just throw it out there. As most sane people, I'd be estatic to see a prop rotation of Snowden/Fa'aso/Tuimavave and Costigan/Myles next season. So much talent there. Bennett getting that talent to show. Bold prediction, Fa'aso WILL be on the verge of QLD again next year, like he was in 2009. He gives 110% each week, exactly what Bennett demands from his players.
