The Warriors lived offside today, but in saying that we were pretty bad and deserved to lose. We lacked direction today which Joey usually provides yes, to say we are nothing without him is a bit of an exaggeration, I think the Warriors aren't a bad side and are improving.

Too many handling errors, well done Warriors.

What constitutes offside?

So many times today I heard the commentators screaming "the Warriors are miles in front of Smith!" yet every time it was after the ball carrier had already run 11 or 12 metres before being met. Whatever happened to 10 metres.

the knights are going the wrong way in following through with mullen.
campbell has it all over him when it comes to first grade.

Look, I dont think many teams would of peformed better than we did if they lost their best half on gameday..

one of the greatest kiwi's to ever play the game is no longer at the warriors. the loss of stacey jones is a massive blow to the warriors because of the player he was.

johns is the knights. it is proven fact that without him they struggle to win and when he is there they basically are unbeatable.

of course it would be hard for other teams but I think most other teams can survive a lot better than the knights because of simply the impact that johns has on the knights.

I am looking forward to watching the replay later on tonight. The New Zealand Warriors were good last week in their win over the Tigers (minus Benji) and have took that momentum to Newcastle (minus Johns) to get back to back wins.

They are back to 0 points and have a nice draw coming up; Manly (H), Canberra (A) and Souths (H) - there is potential there for at least 4 competition points.

I can't believe how many of you are completely writing off the Warriors. Sure we may be bottom of the ladder ... but without the penalty we would be 7th, and we've got a pretty solid team that's got some serious payback on their minds.

Finals here we come! :D

I dont think you understood what I meant. You have had 4 or so months to practice without Jones, I said 'gameday'. We would of had a whole plan with Johns this week and now we would of needed a whole new plan today because Johns was out.

The Knights are seriously f****d without Johns, I mean they lost to the Warriors. :?

Considering his replacement was pulled of a bus going to Campbell town I think that statement is a little unfair, maybe if mullen was training with the team in the lead up it would have been different.

The warriors played very well today, an is a team I think has the most natural ability in the comp they just don’t or hardly ever produce it on the field.

Joey wasn’t the only player missing either newton abraham quinn davico where all missing, if they where all there it could have been a different story. You are all willing to write the knights of without johns but you never seem to look who else is out 99% of the time there is more than just johns out.

An on the topic of "one man teams" every team in the comp will suffer when there most influential player is gone i.e.

Tigers- benji
dragons- barrett
broncos- lockyer
eels- hindmasrh
sharks- kimmorley
cowboys- bowen
panthers- Gower

Every team struggles with out there best its time other people start realizing that

I don't think it's so much what Joey does on the field but it's the confidence he creates amoungst the players. They seem to have more confidence in themselves when he's there.

The Warriors also came of a win in NZ last week that next to noone thought they would win. The confidence from this game would have helped them enormously today and with Joey not there only added this. Good on them for taking advantage of the circumstances they were in.

Why is it the Canberra fans are always the first ones to bag everybody but their own side out? Anyway, onto the important stuff:
1: The Knights are obviously nowhere near as good without Joey, but they're still a lot better without him than they were at the same point last year. They were doing a lot right today, but just didn't have the organisation that Johns provides to get everything to click. But the heart, effort and most of the talent was still there.
2: Stop writing off the Warriors so much, so far this season they are far from the worst side going around. They are 2 from 4 with a positive for and against, if it wasn't for the 4 point penalty they'd be 7th and even with it it's only a bye to Souths that's keeping us at the bottom. we'll be out of spoon territory in a week or two.
3: Gotta feel for the knights, they must be dreading the Warriors next trip to Newcastle!
