Again rubbish, if tassie enters then canberra likely will be next. in twenty years it could be another perth team And another brisbane team, even a nt team if someone’s stupid enough to fund it. They aren’t done yet I suspect.

they’ve avoided expanding into regional areas mostly, I wonder why? anything to do with metro markets being more valuable I wonder?
Yes you're spruiking that Canberra and Tassie are great growth options. They have peaked and are desperately out of options.

And on a second Brisbane team for them - lol. Good luck with that

That is why The AFL haven't gone to the Regional areas, None in the AFL states have the population
Exactly right my friend, and the one state they could, they do have a team... Geelong.

The AFL admin are portrayed like they are tactical geniuses but they really had no option bit to come into our heartland. It is essential for them. Theirs is a nice to have for us.

We were dumb enough to gift them a SL War but outside of that, they've made little headway

Correct, The biggest threat to RL has been itself and will stay that way moving forward

The competition expanded rapidly and retracted just as rapidly on the removal of the Reds.

The Reds had began the process of creating the right pathway at the time but that doesn't create NRL quality players in 3 years.

Overall, you need:
1) A competitive junior club setup based on high registration numbers (doable based on history), a regional rep program (exists but coaches need development ) and a NRL pathway (non existant). That takes 3 years min.
2) Investment is necessary to bring the coaching standard up across all those areas. Another 3 years min.
3) You then have the right environment for the 12 to 18 years old to develop into NRL potential. Pulling a under developed 17 year old (physically and skill based) into the right environment isn't enough, they need the right continual exposure and ramp up from a young age.

That could end up a 10-12 year progression with 1 or 2 potential wins early.

The Force are throwing money at the game and getting very few players, money alone is never the answer here

Audience 'reach' is different to people who actually watch.

Besides, what's wrong with fudging the numbers ? apparently the RUWC will be watched by 1 billion people :D :D

Correct. If even 1 extra person sees the game that is more than it would usually get.

You are probably looking to get 1% of those reach people tuning in, in which case the games double their audience

It’s interesting, there are calls (from some) to ban Australian kickers in American football, Aussie kickers have changed the landscape, thing is the Aussie kickers are all retired AFL players.

That’s untrue, the twiggy money on jnrs hs only been happening a couple of years and already they are coming through,
a number of RL jnr players form nrlwa clubs have joined their elite pathways.

4 Force jnrs in wallabies jnr squad this year

Nice rant, are you ok? I was referring to the administrators at Lions HQ and you can be damn sure they wanted the Broncos to lose

I'm fine. You are the one all triggered by AFL not me.

So yeah I'm all good... not mad or upset or hating on anything.
Some of you merkins should try it. It's a really nice and peaceful place to be.

Thanks for asking though.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 20th AwFuL licence is awarded to a third Perth team. The major of Joondalup is keen on the idea.

Over 50% of Australians live in NSW and Queensland. Brisbane is the fastest growing city in Australia. AwFuL needs Brisbane and Sydney far more than NRL needs Adelaide and Perth.

NZ2 has to be ahead of Perth.
Why are you so scared of the AFL?

I’m glad the Wallabies are going to get their next generation of players from somewhere- Perth…

That should improve their on field results exponentially

How many of those are in a better state now compared to when the deal was signed?

Only NRL/AFL
