How many programs from binge make the top 100 programs on Foxtel ?you know that Binge and Kayo are neck and neck for subscriptions as of the last report, it follows that com/res subs will be similar in nature.
Nrl 72 percent ?
Binge ?

Yep, because a multi national company's only focus is a sporting competition in Australia.Dazn spending 3.5 billion to buy Foxtel
Probably would’ve been better just to start their own network by bidding for the nrl rights on their own and then using that to expand
Them they could’ve got Foxtel for pennies on the dollar
Most of the goodwill paid is from nrl subscribers
And they still need to bid for the nrl deal now and may lose out
Not even legal streams are live without a 15-30 second delay and I go mad having Panther games dropout
If they were watching anything but sport then it would show on the ratings data
I get you are a bit thick so I will repeat
72 percent of the top 100 most watched programs on FOXTEL (all of it) are rugby league
That would make you a criminal.I'd watch illegal streams if I was in that boat
That would make you a criminal.
100% disagree with every fiber of my body.So is charging $40 for a single sport
100% disagree with every fiber of my body.
an overseas based sport that's played a terrible times to watch in our timezone? coolYou can get a much bigger popular sport in NBA for half of that. Even throw in the NFL for less than $40 a month

For a streaming service that we can watch in a good timezone... l
So we are expanding into Perth. You expect people in a niche market to drop $40 a month on a new sport?
Hey sounds like a bs argument to meWhen are you going to learn that subscription television is about SUBSCRIBERS not ratings. Ratings is a measurement literally devised to sell advertising - which Foxtel still do, but primarily its SUBSCRIBERS for SUBSCRIPTION TV which accounts for most of their revenue.
Hey sounds like a bs argument to me
If you have any proof ratings and subscribers aren’t very strongly correlated provide it
Or are you just trying to present your opinion as fact again
Thanks for giving you’re opinionIts the ONLY argument that matters with subscription based TV. Anything else is irrelevelant, no matter what you have going on in your mind.
I havent said anything of the sort. I stand by the statement that an organisation that reports 2.5b in subscription revenue, and 340m in advertising revenue, is not ratings driven. Its literally in the name subscription television.
Despite the bleating about ratings, nothing gets you around that. And that picture is not one you have demonstrated any capacity to understand.
Im literally demonstrating graphs showing your interpretation of the f**king subscription picture is a figment of your imagination.
Im literally showing Foxtel earnings release data. You are inventing stuff out of thin air.
Subscription services will use ratings as a proxy to gauge which programs are driving subscription uptake, retention/engagement and churn. Its the ONLY argument that matters with subscription based TV. Anything else is irrelevelant, no matter what you have going on in your mind.

This year they will have somewhere around a $420mill revenue gap on us, they can afford to properly fund a full womens comp. One day NRL may be able to do the same and we may see a full comp in nrlw? They`re spending $70m a year on that waste of time called fumbles-w, expect that to go up to $100m per annum soon, and have spent $200m+ over the last 4 or 5 years.
That`s how you blow the (questionable) $150m broadcast deal advantage you love to crow about and have sweet f**k all to show for it.
