The AFL ( DANZ) get around $340- to $360m pa with seven paying $180m SO for us coming from $250- to $260 from DANZ now, to go way past the AFL on $350m (mid point) to $450 is a stretch, in fact it wont happen- as business works when they paid overs for AFL MEANS just to match that would be great but as all business conditions tighten and so customers also , i anticipate same figure. look i don't want to talk about he AFL but their overs figure plays into what we will get, just business, so if we want more everything is up for grabs, i mean you sell the same product twice or even three times if possible.
Nope

Afl gets 418 million pa from Foxtel

It’s been reported many times now by the media

We get around half that even though around 70 percent of the top 100 programs are rugby league

Absolute rort

the NRL doesn't have any " pretend " contributions so nothing to hide

that's where I'm.. on that

That the NRL has chosen not to sell its online rights is not on the AFL. Nor is it the AFLS fault that the NRL wrapped its Telstra contra deal in its naming rights instead of its media deal.

And Neither did the AFL include its radio rights in its broadcast deal, nor its print partnerships, as the NRL did with Nine media.

Contra spending on marvel stadium has nothing to do with tv rights deals

We know why they did it

blah blah blah

fumbleball is the one that includes in its media rights total value
undisclosed amounts from an organisation that isn't even a media provider , they're a telecommunications company

The NRL would never , put Telstras naming rights $ in its media rights deal , because
that would be dishonest & slimy

They can leave that sort of behaviour to the experts ... ALF

Their previous ceo said afl was the number one state in qld

They lied about the junior numbers in Balmain to kick soccer off birchgrove oval so they could play there

better nothing then stinking lies

Only on League Unlimited and some NRL circles is this an issue.

THe AFL sells media rights, not just broadcast rights - and its announcement didnt include its radio rights. And it pays. The NRL includes all manner of bullshit in its broadcast rights, but thats not misleading at all apparently.

The double standard is highly amusing. Carry on though.

Or that the nrl no longer actually reports separately on what it’s digital revenue is lol

Seeing the cope from the afl apologists on here when the nrl tv deal is bigger is going to be delicious

Afl tried so hard to hide its real figure but the media found out Foxtel is 418 million pa so we know what the benchmark is

Afl is around 585 million pa including contra

They needed to do a seven year deal and add Tasmania and gather round to get that too

“In 2025 Rugby League also broke viewership records in Australia and New Zealand with 224.2 million viewers across the entire season, up 9.5% on the prior year and up by 87.5 million or 64% compared to 2019, when it was 136.7 million cumulative viewers.”

Around double the afl numbers cementing the code as the biggest sport in Australia and the pacific

Edit turns out nrl was 50 percent higher excluding png
