Apparently red is the new yellow.
I find it all very interesting about the so called " respect the NRL should have shown to News Ltd with all the money they have been pouring in" .
1) This is the same media organisation who showed so much respect to Kerry Stokes ,they ensured News had no competition by getting C7( the proposed new Pay Tv channel) shafted.
2) The same media organisation that covertly plotted to undermine rugby league ,by starting up a new comp,in competition with the established one,by stealing players and officials without a care in the world.
3) the same media organisation that half owned the NRL ,that helped Gallop :lol:achieve a record LOL $500m Tv deal over 6 years, when the AFL achieved by trumping Gallopsy $780m over 5 years .
4) the same media organisation that ensured the non existence of the Bears,Wests,Reds .
5) The same media organisation that hacked peoples' phones to get a story, regardless of the damage it did to families involved.

Yeah respect to News!!!.As much respect as I give someone who breaks into my car.

All of the clubs need to come out in the Fairfax media and debunk this news ltd propaganda, the clubs have it in their power to stop it dead and put some serious egg on news ltd journos faces.

I think the News journos are already doing a great job in the egg on faces department.

If ESPN got NRL rights... Foxtel could just kick them off the platform...

Actually I think that is illegal to do. Provided ESPN are willing to pay to access the infrastructure, Fox would find themselves in legal hot manure if they kicked them off. The ACCC would be all over their butts.

Lets give to Uncle Rupts, here is a general enquiry.complaint form for the ACCC which are looking up if Ten and Foxtel can share Adverting and have a 15% shareholding. They (ACCC)are looking at it now. Fill in your own form.

https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc/general-enquiry-form

this is what i wrote....

''' I want to vouce my complete dissaprobval at the ten Foxtel 15% merger. It goes against competition and gives market power to News LTD who have papers pay/papers pay tv (radio with Laclan Murdock) ie

Nova 100 - Melbourne 100.3 MHz
Nova 93.7 - Perth 93.7 MHz
Nova 91.9 - Adelaide 91.9 MHz
Nova 106.9 - Brisbane 106.9 MHz
Who is a director at Ten and News ltd, conflict of interst. Whats more this tie up has brought sports rights such as the v8 supercars as consumers complain that ten has nothing and pay tgv has all. Also if this goes ahead expect MORE sports tie ups which put the best stuff on monopoly Foxtel with minority free tv. Other networks can not complete for these sports rigths as the combined entity can outbid a lone free tv as foxtel will not partner. By all means this seems to be position of News ltd position in regards to the NRL rights. i an aware that at least two media organization oppose this ten/foxtel deal, FAIRFAX AND NINE Entertainment. I also oppose this.

Have submitted.

Buzz's latest tweet

Imagine the scandal if a government or ANY business did a potential $2 billion deal without going to tender #crisis

NO MENTION of the fact AFL have actually done a 2.5B without going to tender????

What he really means is that a non-tender involving News is OK, but not the other way around.

Best case scenario for fox seems to be getting Ten to buy the Saturday game from Nine and then have Ten simulcast Fox Sports Saturday coverage, but with ads on FTA. That maintains foxsports super Saturday without the dirty feed from nine and allows Foxtel to collect some of the ad revenue from the FTA broadcast through its tie up with MCN.

How funny the prince of darkness loses again. Cricket gone!
Still the deal with Telstra (if any ) should come after the pay tv deal. After all they are half of telfox /foxtel. Why , because you can screw over foxtel with possible using a mobile /internet platform. Optus can run a app/ cost/price to be established ie $5 p/w people can then mirror it to tv.
http://www.samsung.com/ie/support/skp/faq/1057791
So the broadcast comes over the 3g network live from say Optus, ( or maybe Vodafone )this increases the revenue and can put a stake through Foxtel
Since this timed i will explain more soon....

Stan tv internet
Fetch tv internet (optus unmetered
Netflix tv internet (Optus unmetered)
vodaphone mobile 3/4 g platform
Optus mobile 3/4 g platfrom.

What we need to put pressure no news ltd is all internet/platforms selling our product. If fox sports wont negotiate viod the contract with a year to go Say you can get coverage on all the above thus STOP PAYING foxtel NOW. Watch streamed or MIRRORED.. Truly watch Foxtel bleed customers as the go on any of the above..
Murdock can have it back only he pays 1.3 billion dollars OVER 5 YEARS ,better then AFL.

So

Graham and Harold in the comments section has it right.
What do i make of this, well they again state telstra wants out. How does Telstra like being verbalized . maybe they are after the steaming rights only?? i keep saying this don't let telstra have the mobile/tablets rights exclusive as we NEED them to sign agreements for Vodapone/optus ie give it free but cut the profits from the mobile streaming say..70/nrl 30 vodaphone (for transmission on 4 g network. we will never make as much money and we will have to produce/4 shows programs, but it can be done, throw in ESPN Murdock is 84 yrs by the next deal the odds favour he be a parrot in a pet shop monty python.

Did you read what in the australian said,,,,,, 400 mill. FU Time to send/hire some PI in london to find incriminating evidence /like unnamed sources, people say , that Murdock knows more about 'news of the world' scandal, than he lets on. Did you know that the US justice Dept opened up a investigation into the phone scandal.
http://www.smh.com.au/business/medi...ation-case-in-us-dropped-20150203-134mty.html

Who can re open a investigation when they have 'new evidence'
That reminds me of another media mogul who went to jail Conrad Black
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conrad_Black

He even part/ owned fairfax
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairfax_Media

Look at this way the NRL will be here for a hundred years,
Will Murdock or foxtel, no it wont.
Time to WIN THE WAR, all out assault. I played as a kid in four stone sevens, even then if you got hit ..You got up ..and when in defense, you inflicted pain.
