They’ve been playing well the last couple of weeks.
Injuries really killed us. At best we were probably 8-8, maybe pushing for a wildcard spot with a lot of luck and no injuries, but it wasn't to be.
Today based on the start of the year we had our 3rd string qb, 2nd and 5th choice RB's, missing our 1 WR, a 3rd and 5th choice safety, 2 x 2nd string LB and lost Witherspoon at CB in the first.
Not to mention we don't have any pass rush to speak of outside the consistently double teamed Buckner.
The effort is there but we had a record number of rookies last year. Some have improved, others regressed, and added more rookies this year. Slow going, but some guys are starting to step up.
