Since the old thread is exactly that, thought I'd canvas the forum and see what everyone's bopping to of late.

For me:
Anything by Dashboard Confessional
'Dry Your Eyes' by The Streets
'Broken' by Seether and Amy Lee
'Tipsy' by J-Kwon

They're my poison lately. 'Dry Your Eyes' is particularly good. I wasn't expecting something so sensitive from The Streets.

well...my two favourite songs of the year are 'take me out' by franz ferdinand (saw them live at Splendour in Byron - fantastic live) and 'float on' by modest mouse...but my fave song at the moment would be 'Spitting Games' by Snow Patrol - if you like 'Run', you have to get this album...

was a great time...Snow Patrol & Franz were great but I was really surprised at how good Hilltop Hoods were and how packed they were!

High rotation for me at the moment:

Four to the Floor - Starsailor (still!)

Push Up - Freestylers

"Where I come from we don't play around,
And when its time to party we know how to get down"

Love it!

Can anyone recommend a CD?

I need some new ones and I am lost. I've had some really good suggestions from this forum - such as Jet, Powderfinger, Maroon 5 - I'm sure there are others :D

I borrowed my mum's car (we swapped for 3 weeks) so I went up to Newcastle to swap back... and my mum surprised me by having a CD player installed in my car! So I'm pretty keen to cruise around listening to new CDs.

I am so spoilt! :D Mum also knitted me a matching beanie, scarf and mittens :D

Benaroya Hall is a great album agreed - but for a truly great accoustic PJ album get the third Mansfield show from 2003 (the 3 shows they did that did not repeat a song) - the opening accoustic set is just incredible.

I know you hang out for my recommendations Astro :^o , so here they are:

* Split The Difference - Gomez
* Final Straw - Snow Patrol
* Our Endless Numbered Days - Iron & Wine
* Talkie Walkie - Air

and for some fun...

* Franz Ferdinand :)

They repeated Yellow Ledbetter ;).

I agree Boston 3 was good (i'm missing _2_ bootlegs from 2003 - Montreal and Bonner Springs), but not as good as Benaroya. Also, if you want a true accoustic performance, look no further than their unreleased MTV unplugged.

meh...whatever :p

that set is just special - so raw and full of tracks they never play live.

now if radiohead did the same thing my dreams would be fulfilled :)
