perception is reality, i'm afraid james. clearly i'm not alone in how MS is perceived... and where there is smoke, there is most often fire. i'll admit to a liberal use of hyperbole, mainly for comedic effect regarding fanatical zealots... but my opinion and point still stands strong, especially about the mean/average level of football knowledge across the board. i will back LU's knowledge of football over MS's eleven times out of ten. we are all held strongly accountable for our opinions, not just by our own supporters, but by other teams as well. i wouldn't have it any other way. delusions are rarely allowed to fester quietly in these parts.

tell me, if i was to call someone a f**king moron for having a geniused opinion on your website, would i be moderated for that? would i be banned? what if i told them their posts have zero merit and they should stick their post history up their arse, where it belongs? would some numpty delete or edit my post and paste one of those geniused "joke" Forum of Love emotes? you say the forum of love is to allow everyone to express their opinion, yet i doubt anyone is allowed to truly express what they think of someone elses opinion. that isn't freedom of expression, it isn't even in the same ball park. it panders to the weak. it fights natural selection. we have some very strong personalities around these parts... and it would be incredibly sad if they weren't given a place to flourish. when these personalities clash it can be like fireworks... highly entertaining and often very informative too.

if you have problems with other posts in this thread then that is none of my concern. from what you have just said i was banned for creating a thread (on a forum completely out of the scope of the guidelines of your own forum, i might add) that others happened to make a few jokes in and share some opinions that a moderator on your website didn't like, and i was held accountable for their posts and consequently banned. perhaps you and/or your moderators should have pointed them out for their opinions in the first place. personally i think the jokes have been funny and made in reasonably light heart. very few, if any people aside from myself have made any remarks about your site aside from generalising about your forums population. weak as piss, and unfortunately it has harmed your forums reputation and credibility more than any rant i made ever embark on. you say that you didn't think i would be requiring my account again, yet in the next sentence you say that someone else banned me?so which is it, james? was it you that believed i no longer required my account, or was it another mystery moderator that can read your mind?

i am critical of the moderation just from the small bits i have seen. i'm not a frequent visitor, but i do recall plenty of instances of "this post was deleted by a moderator" and things to that effect. perhaps i was being presumptuous, but given that i was banned for my opinions on a completely seperate forum then i somewhat doubt that. that is a perfect example of complete over-moderation. you say that yourself and your mods try to guide young posters down some sort of path-of-better-contribution... and if they don't fall into line they get "put on mod". wtf is that sh*t? let the open domain of opinion take care of it ffs. a person gets laughed at and proven wrong enough times, they'll soon learn. if they don't, then they have earned their ridicule fair and square. all fair game in my book.

but then, that is just my book, i don't really care how you run your site outside of expressing myself in this thread. once again, you are entitled to run it however you wish. i would recommend you don't get upset when people develop an opinion based on how it is run, though. opinions are like arseholes, every bastard has one, myself most definitely included. i like to express it, sometimes in colourful terms. sue me, i suppose (or ban me, lol).

as for your "they haven't attacked crusade members personally"... well i haven't attacked any particular member of MS personally either, but it was enough for me to cop a ban. yep, that sure is life! i generalised about your forum, no different to the generalisations made by members of your own forum. you don't hold them to the same standard. it is hypocrisy. knights fans attacking other knights fans, plain and simple. make excuses for it all you like, but that is how it is. if you don't have a problem with them having their opinions of a knights supporting organisation i'm involved in, surely i am due the same courtesy in reverse, no? personally, i embrace their right to their opinion and would never report a member of your forum for expressing it however they choose to... i have no problem with it and if they would like to discuss the finer points of the crusade with me on the internet or in person then i'm very easy to find in both. somehow i doubt i will get any takers on that offer, though. much easier to blindly criticize amongst their own little group, about something they have even less knowledge than i have of your forum. the crusade is well aware of its own problems - i personally make sure of it and i love playing devils advocate. some problems arn't as easy to solve as you would think. we do what we can, and will continue to do so. i certainly don't feel strongly enough, or value the opinions of your forums membership enough to actually try and educate them about the crusade on their "home turf" of MS. something tells me they wouldn't listen, regardless.

i don't want my membership back, mate. if i wanted access to post on your website, i have the resources to gain it... hell, a ban isn't worth sh*t these days anyway. this thread was completely intended as a big thumbs up for LU. yes, it involved a big thumbs down for your forum... but you and your moderators have done nothing to disprove or challenge my opinion in the slightest. if anything you have confirmed it beyond any reasonable doubt.
