There is no such thing as an indigenous flag, their is only Torres Stait Islander and Aboriginal flags. Their cultures are different from each other, and our culture is a lot different to theirs.
The non-indigenous culture is different then the indigenous culture in the following ways:
  • We have good health, they don't want it
  • They live in poverty, we don't
  • They line up at centrelink to get a pay out, we earn our money
  • We don't play the race card, they do
  • They sniff petrol, we don't
  • We have a good education, they don't wanna turn up to school
  • Substance abuse is part of their culture, in ours it isn't
  • They live in housing comission houses/units and use their welfare money to pay the rent
  • They commit crimes more than non-indigenous people
There is no such thing as an indigenous flag, their is only Torres Stait Islander and Aboriginal flags. Their cultures are different from each other, and our culture is a lot different to theirs, dickhead.
Can every Australian unite under a Torres Strait Islander or Aboriginal flag? NO, only people from their culture can.
What's wrong with the non-indigenous folk uniting under a seperate flag like the Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders do?

A post that reeks of the us v them siege mentality.

'We', 'they' 'ours', 'theirs'. You seek in your generalisations a perception of what determines culture, when its unbundantly clear that you haven't got the slightest clue. Hopefully, dim-witted racists like you are slowly (but surely) becoming a thing of the past.

That's quite horrible.

A hint: it's a rule of flag design that white and yellow should never touch.
Is it true that a yellow flag on a ship means there is some nasty disease on board?

And again, please explain how this flag represents the people of Australia.

Green and gold = the colours usually worn by australian sports teams.

federation star represents the six states at federation + future states and territories

southern cross = self-explanatory.

Oh FFS, "we" are part of "our" non-indigenous culture.

"They" are part of "their" indigenous culture.

These are two different things.

I will ask again, how does that "flag" represent the indigenous people of Australia ?

It doesn't, its not meant to.

How does the aboriginal flag or torres strait islander flag represent you, me or any other non-indigenous person?

Indigenous means native, derrrrrrrrrrr.

So your flag isn't for all australians. That being the case, you don't need to change the flag, you can stick with the current one which is symbolic of British colonisation of this country.

How does the aboriginal flag or torres strait islander flag represent you, me or any other non-indigenous person?
It doesn't, it's not supposed to.

Lets dissect this shall we.

There is no such thing as an indigenous flag, their is only Torres Stait Islander and Aboriginal flags. Their cultures are different from each other, and our culture is a lot different to theirs.
... Ok read that yourself and realise how stupid you just made yourself look

We have good health, they don't want it
They live in poverty, we don't
They line up at centrelink to get a pay out, we earn our money
We don't play the race card, they do
They sniff petrol, we don't

! So if you live in poverty, you're Aboriginal and can't be white.
All Centrelink beneficiaries are Aboriginals right? You're an idiot if you think that... Take a look at some statistics are how many White Australians are on the dole and living on Youth Allowance with no real want for a job. But they must be Aboriginal to be going to centrelink.

I'm white, and I'm saying you're a racist pig. Does that make me Aboriginal for playing the race card?

They sniff petrol? f**k you're an idiot.

You have no education and are as dumb as a door knob. I know plenty of Aboriginals who are 10 fold smarter than yourself.

And the last one is a gem... You have no proof to say crime is comitted moreso by Aboriginals than non-indigenous Australians. You are just a tool with a racist agenda and the fact you would have no guts to say this to anyone in the street knowing full well they'd beat the f**k out of you, me included.

Substance is a part of their culture and not ours? Right... All those ice addicts I run into on hunter street may be pale white from their addiction.

So why did you seperate Aboriginies and Torres Strait Islanders from the racial group of indigenous?

Did you know, and I know this may come as a shock to you, but Australia actually does more than play sport. Moreso, not all people in Australia actually have, or will get to play sport for Australia.

federation star represents the six states at federation + future states and territories
How does a limited number of stars represent an indefinite number of states and territories?

southern cross = self-explanatory.
It can be seen in New Zealand?

Really?

After taking into account the age differences between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations in 2004, Indigenous persons were 11 times more likely to be in prison compared with non-Indigenous persons.
