We didn't get the run of the green today with the ref decisions but would have loss anyway. However, there were a few out there who gave it their best but lacked support from most of the others.

When Nobby has a bad game, he has an absolute shocker. He will be beating himself up really badly now.

Knobby's not known to get aggro, so he'll come out of this beating unscathed.

My observations over the years has concluded that sportsmen + tv = disaster. Knobby needs to stay off the tv and keep his head in the game.

Did anyone else notice today that Halligan kept calling Ian Henderson "McKinnon"? He was talking about some sh*tty tackle or something, seconds after they noted that McKinnon was on the bench, and said McKinnon's name. Also blamed McKinnon for Henderson's knock on that lead to a Panthers try late in the match. Poor form.

Somebody has said that Packer was dropped for disciplinary reasons, not sure what he did.

This can be the only logical reason for having a centre on the bench instead of a prop.
The offloads didnt stick this week, a completion rate in the 50%'s v 90%'s! Lance proved he isnt a 5/8th, some very poor 5th tackle options.
Ref had some shocking calls the let panthers set up shop down our end.
Locke has come down badly with second season slump disease. We had Henderson playing in the second row.
We played well for 12 minutes in the second half on the back of some good go forward, made a mistake in our half and shut up shop again.
Please tell me we will have at least one or more of Price, Mannering, Luck of Manu back for the game against the storm!

Here's my 3-2-1 for "D-O-D" - Dud of the Day

3. McKinnnon - has really lost his pace, has no right whatsoever make d-h runs, crap under the bomb - time he should go
2. Locke - the kid couldnt get anything right today
1. Hohaia - I'm convinced now he's not even a half's a-hole and either they stick him at fullback or put him on the bench.

Yup. Didn't we figure out last year that Lance isn't a halve's a-hole? I think we did. Put him back at hooker, Heremaia is still a flash in the pan.

Without politics, lets say if a Gus Gould or a Peter Stirling or someone picked our side for next week, surely it would look nothing like it does at present.

People who should not be near this team are: McKinnon, Latimore.
People who are out of position: Hohaia, Lillyman (when he's put into the prop rotation)
People who have had should be going better but won't get any better until they come under a better coach that lets them use their natural talent: Matulino, Locke (should be a fullback), Packer

Only saw the game at the ground from a terrible vantage point (walk up purchasing of tickets)

3- Rapira
2- Brown
1- Tai'i

Ropati, Lillyman and Matulino looked good again too.

I am seriously concerned about Kevin Locke- he is a long way away from his form in 2009. Today, he had an absolute nightmare. Part of me would prefer him to be dropped when Manu came back as the more I see of Tupou, the more I like. Then again, I suppose we should persevere with him ala Manu/Parra. In any event, he is far from the answer to our problems. Get Hohaia back to 1 at any cost and have Kevin Locke vying with Tupou for the wing.

Latimore was ineffective. Doesn't go looking for work and that really is inexcusable when we are a prop short.

Another thing that really annoyed me was the lack of support play available when somebody made a break. From memory, Ropati and Brown made huge breaks and there was no option of feeding it to support available to them- the Warriors were just spectators.

Didn't he also refer to Locke as Nobby Clarke?

To be fair, Ropati had Tupou in support for his break, but it was snuffed out by Gordon.

Yeah, but Costo called him out on it

Sometimes mate, I think it's a Northcote/TV thing.

I was a bit meh about the whole thing, I didn't thing it was that dramatic.

At the end of the day the score was blown out by 3, count 'em, 3 tries from bombs on the end of sets of 6 where Penrith never looked like scoring. Bombs are like refereeing decisions, they tend to even themselves out long-term....tries like that are about 3% class and 97% arse.

Locke didn't have much fun under the high ball, but there's a difference between shelling uncontested bombs and the lottery of the contested bomb. There's really nothing you can read in to it.
