My notion is that his "family's" name would take a bruising if he went to the U.K.

It would be deemed as a failure by heartless scribes.

He's a little five-eighth without much of a running, kicking or passing game. The only thing he DOES have is a very good manager who convinced the Eels he was worth $220,000 a year...

he tries bloody hard and never backs down, he is a good guy to have in your team as commraderie goes but for playing...meh...he'd suit the dogs i think...

On the right money (ie not much) he'd be a good pick up for a lot of clubs. He's got a lot of talent, but he is in desperate need of a change of scenery.

A top coach with a strong focus on structure and discipline (Bennett, Bellamy, Griffin etc) could really bring out the best in him.

He's not as talented as Carney but there is a likeness when it comes to showcasing that talent.

I know why Carney's not giving his best but I think Kearney's got what it takes.

Maybe Mortimer should go to the Roosters and Carney to the Eels . . . reverse psychology
