No team has ever won the premiership after conceding 50pts in a regular season match

Johnathan Thurston and Cooper Cronk to me should be the template for every half. Sure, it is stating the bleeding obvious choosing two future immortals, but here is how I see it.

Johnathan Thurston had all the skill and instinct to win games, but wasn't the best game manager. Cooper Cronk had all the structure, but not enough play it as he sees it.

Towards the end of their careers, JT had to learn and play a bit better structure. He was losing his speed, lost Matty Bowen, and he desperately needed a plan B. It was tiring for him to try and win every game every week off his individual ability. Structure enabled the Cowboys to win in more ways than one.

As defences started to figure out Melbourne a bit better, Cronk had to take on the line more, use his running game more and then utilise the skills of the backline that Bellamy had put around him (culminating in the 2017 premiership). The Sharks in 2016 did a serious job on the old Cronk, and so he evolved and won three more premierships in a row.

Cronk and JT were never going to have the abilities of each other, but they worked really hard to add more to their games, and the 2015 and 2017 premierships are probably the best testaments to their evolution as footy players.
Cronk is not going to be an Immortal.

Wally Lewis is the best 5/8 I have ever seen. He read the game better than anyone else, knew when to pass, who to pass to and had the ability to throw the ball long and accurately. His kicking game was just as good and he was a great ball runner and defender. That SOO game in 1988? he led QLD to victory when 4 or so players were taken out through injury was better than anything QLD did during the 8-0 streak. The Sydney crowd stood up and applauded the win, as they knew they witnessed something truly heroic.

His immortal status should be revoked on account of being a blood relative of Lachlan Lewis.

Reserve grade Olsen made Wally look like a schoolboy

So does Kevin Walters deserve to for winning 6

IN THE NRL ERA.

Kevin win most of his before the NRL, when the broncos could monopolise an entire state. Coops won his premierships in an era of equality due to the salary cap which is a truly unprecedented achievement

He won 4 premierships. And let's not forget every side he ever played in was stacked to the absolute max. An excellent halfback who excelled in some amazing club sides and filled his boots against the weakest nsw sides of all time.

1) 2007
2) 2009
3) 2012
4) 2017
5) 2018
6) 2019

That's six premierships

Cronk was a fantastic player, but lets not kid ourselves that he ever played for a team who let the salary cap affect their recruitment.

If there was any justice in this world, the NRL would hold their own version of the Nuremberg trials and bring to justice every single person who has played a role in Anthony Milford's career since leaving Canberra

Turning that kid, who was one of the most exciting footballers in the world, who was brimming with natural talent and confidence, who played with such flair and excitement into this boring, unfit robotic game manager is one of the great crimes ever committed in this sport.

Never forget that at Canberra, this guy was what we see today in Ponga.
Well the finger of blame seems to point squarely at Uncle Wayne for this occurring.
