Panthers are the nice guys of the NRL. Sparing Titans and Sharks from being out of contention by 2 points each.

Although unlike Storm they're nailing every goal. If Storm had a Cleary quality kicker they're good for another 6 to 10 points a game which is insane. Storm have scored 10 tries more than Panthers.

Somehow they're under the radar as not being the best team this year. But they're piling on points no matter who is missing. They lost both hookers, a half and then their fullback early on and still ran up a cricket score. Hard not to see them in another grand final if they can smash teams with their best players missing still.

Souths are 4th with an 8-2 record, only losing to the Storm - and our defense is rubbish. There is an enormous gap between the top 2 and the rest.

If anyone follows F1 basically the Storm/Panthers are Mercedes at the start of the Hybrid era where new rules have put the team they have out in front by miles.

Yeah there is some good coaching involved like how Cleary keeps the panthers moving at all times (like line drop outs, etc) but if I had to imagine teams that would benefit from the current interpretation its the Storm and Panthers sides.

The trick is to achieve only one early send off and sin bin. Storm were powerless to get to 50 with Dragons down to 11/12. Any more off the field and I think you'll be conceding the fateful 50+.
