I’m not writing Souths off yet. They are good at keeping their players out of the sin bin and have some brilliant attacking players. They only need 4-5 sin bins and they likely roll Melbourne or Penrith.

the new rules actually good for them given their round 1 efforts to knock out papenhuzen, 5 high shots on and off the ball in the first 20 mins and no KO. They really couldn’t take advantage of the old interpretations.

can confirm they don’t carry over. We lost 50-0 back to back in 04 and won the comp in 05.
