No team has ever won the premiership after conceding 50pts in a regular season match

Besides our shiteness it's been the absolute worst season I can remember for us on the injury front, especially when it comes to key players.

Latrell Mitchell, Cameron Murray, Campbell Graham, Jai Arrow, Junior Tatola, Alex Johnston, Isaiah Tass and Tyrone Munro - that's 8 of our first choice 13 - only played a combined 65 games in 2024. Mental.

And I'm not counting others who you could argue a spot for like Lachlan Ilias (2 games), Shaq Mitchell (6 games), Jacob Host (12 games), etc.

So our best players have been injured and their backups have been injured. That 5 week period was the only time we had some semblance of consistency in the lineup.

I'm glad Wayne is replacing the "High Performance" team because we're the worst prepared (physically) side in the League.
No doubt injuries have been cruel to you, but there was bigger issues at the club. The season was over by origin then a crippling injury toll made them sitting ducks for the final third of the season.

That said, only BM ever thought they were going anywhere near the premiership

Only Dragons (the 60 point ANZAC game) at the moment, but quite a few have multiple 40+scores on them (as well as dishing out 40+ scores to opponents).

Here's the highest score put against each team to date (Panthers highest was still a win against Eels):

Storm (26)
Roosters (38)
Sharks (42)
Panthers (34 win, 32 loss)
Bulldogs (26)
Cowboys (42)
Sea Eagles (34)
Dragons (60)

Broncos (46)
Dolphins (48)
Knights (44)
Raiders (48)
Going by that
It's storm vs Bulldogs grand final
😊

And Storm, 38.

Sea Eagles v Penrith GF as it currently stands.

It's a chance. Depends what side of the draw Manly end up on.

They showed they are a rung above the Dogs recently. Great middle forwards and an experienced spine. The Roosters are done for 2024. Every chance Manly could make it to the GF.

40-0 versus the Storms in the prelim would be nice.

Along with a 40-0 over the Roosters in the quarter final. An NRL fans wet dream.

Really depends which side of the draw Manly go into. They might play Penrith week 2/3 instead then the fans grand final is dashed.

Definitely has an underdog feel to it this year. I had pinned the Dogs for a potential GF birth but I think Manly are the true darkhorse now. Only other team is the Sharks who have improved but the jury is out on Hynes.
