I don't get the Roosters thing...sure, they might be rorting in the same ways that pretty much everyone is, but people severely overrate their squad as a whole.
Yeah they have a lot of quality players. They also have rather a few I wouldn't even have in our top 30...they've sacrificed depth for high end quality and made some astute depth purchases of players late in their career looking for whatever they can eke out (eg Morris) or desperate younger blokes on the verge of being cast off entirely if they blow this chance (eg Brock Lamb, who WE REJECTED FFS)
They've always tried to paint themselves as a glamour club with flashy signings, but their depth historically and currently is pretty shit. Robinson has mostly managed to make it work so far, but let's not forget that two or three big name injuries had them second last only two years or so ago.
I'm sure the likes of Asu Kepaoa, Bernard Lewis, Brock Lamb, Craig Garvey, Egan Butcher, Josh Curran, Lachlan Lam, Lindsay Collins, Matt Ikuvalu, Brett Morris, Nat Butcher, Poasa Faamausili, Sitili Topounia, Zane Tetevano, Isaac Liu and a 934 year old Ryan Hall would be absolutely awash with $500k offers if they decided to leave lol. Five of those blokes will be in FG every week!
