See this is where I think that whole Izzy thing has been twisted. He is entitled to say whatever he likes in private or as a citizen on social media. However his employer, who pays him handsomely, requested that he refrain from making such public divisive statements as it damaged their brand and the brand of their sponsors. They were apparently wrong is seeking that.

So as it stands your employee can chant from the rooftops anything they like and you have to cop it ?

Meanwhile, church schools want the right to terminate anyone who are not in line with their teachings ?

Am I missing something here ?
Nope. I reckon you have nailed it you disgracefully filthy leftard.

Not sure about that. You don't think that people can be inspired to do evil things based on encouragement from others?

I'm not against free speech btw, but it's been proven on countless occasions that there are enough idiots in the world that can be easily swayed.
By that logic any violence against Christians or Muslims is the fault of the merkins who call them bigots. It's a dumb, self-serving argument designed to shut down speech we don't like.

Absolutely

If no one was swayed by fundamentalist talk, all the fundamentalists would be dead
And where did the first fundamentalist come from? People choose the ideas that appeal to them. If they're inclined to black and white thinking they'll find something that satisfies that urge. If they're inclined to violence they'll find a justification.

Religions have stood the test of time. Just because wealthy people like yourself have no need for it doesn't mean it's not still the opiate of the masses. It's either that or opium.

Reminds me of John Cleese character in Life of Brian

He is the messiah, I should know, I've followed a few

Some shallow minded people just want something to believe in or follow, without question, so they chose this mythical book of stories to be their rules of life. When Izzy is interviewed about this subject he just quotes the story book, like he's never had an original thought of his own.
Wow. And others criticise him for picking and choosing which of the Bible he cares about.

I wonder which criticism is correct.

I suggest that some people might be influenced by the words of others and you translate that into "By that logic any violence....". How did you arrive at that conclusion? I never said that it wasn't possible for someone to form fundamentalist views of their own accord.

Well your comment was in response to my assertion that the words of a fundamentalist aren't dangerous. If dangerous people are looking for justification it's wrong to blame the one doing the justifying.
