I'd like to when the right job comes along. I'm on a good wicket up here but I dont really enjoy the lifestyle.Do you think you'll move back to Sydney?

When i first started working we worked 9 day fortnight. The day off was great.Rather then a holiday I am having Monday off for 3mths. But also will take two weeks off over Christmas and hope to go to Japan or Bethlehem to see baby jesus next year
Just squeeze one FFS!When i first started working we worked 9 day fortnight. The day off was great.
Id love to work 3 day weeks but i dont know many places open to that these days - unless you have squeezed a small human out of you
Yeah part of it, but theres more than that ..... i used to have some pride in working for a reasonably respectable company. Not now. Prob wont be there alot longer. With the jab stuff?

Also, we have a very old dog that we cant leave so having long weekends and holidays is impossible. When that changes and we can get away every now and then I might last a bit longer.
I shouldn't complain. Its not terrible. My biggest problem has always been that I project into the future rather than enjoying the here and now.

I'd like to try but I'm not sure I have the patience for it.You don't enjoy the moment or live in the present. You should meditate.
I will stay where I am for a long time. I hate moving. I'm like a flathead
I hope you can find a way to stick around and keep sucking them dry while working against them. Or join someone who will pay you to do the sameYeah part of it, but theres more than that ..... i used to have some pride in working for a reasonably respectable company. Not now. Yeah. Once you grow to despise a place its hard to keep working there. The longest I've lasted somewhere is 7 years. Every move has been amicable but I've just sensed when its time to move on.Yeah part of it, but theres more than that ..... i used to have some pride in working for a reasonably respectable company. Dont think i would want to do 6 day weeks .... do you get much choice or more like gotta work when its available?I like to work 3-4 days also. But my work will go 5-6 days a week then down to 1-2 a week. Half days etc. Its all over place.
I don't know what its like to have a normal routine
I'd like to try but I'm not sure I have the patience for it.
Yeah its a weird situation .... they obviously did very well financially during the pandemic ... payrises and even bonuses for all (ive never got a bonus my entire working life) - i cant imagine how well those at the top of the foodchain did out of it ....i actually felt quite guilty about it given what was happening to others .... but now apparently its tougher times and minimal annual payrises .... its f**kin nutsI hope you can find a way to stick around and keep sucking them dry while working against them. Steak with mushroom sauce?I know what will help you. A natural medicine.![]()
I think Peak Prosperity Chris is right. This is going to get a lot worse. It didn't have to. It took a 'pandemic' to do that. I don't think your dog's going to get any younger mate. Also, we have a very old dog that we cant leave so having long weekends and holidays is impossible. When that changes

I can understand why. Lots of young women in skintight stuff walking about. Drinking coffee. I mean I don't think that's going to do anything but hey, not gonna object.
