Does it matter?
It probably doesn't matter. There is a line of thinking that the big retailers are riding the coat tails of small independent brewers by pretending to be something that they aren't and stealing market share. Sorry to get all serious. I don't feel strongly about it, but I do think about it.

Ah I get you. All it says is that it's brewed under contract for Pinnacle Drinks. Never heard of them.

I like to drink mostly independent beers. But I have no problem buying my Tshirts at Kmart. I'm a massive hypocrite.

I'm the same as well. Sort of. Except with the beer. I've drunk VB all my life (yes, I know, that's sacrilege!) and I still do, especially at pubs on tap. I've tried so many craft type beers and so many of them are pretty crap. They are trying to be too different and fancy I find. I do love a Corona (even after the virus was a thing :) )
I also cheap out with t-shirts from K-Mart/Target, as well as joggers.
I also love my coffee every day yet I am no coffee snob. I mostly get good, and rarely get a bad coffee.
Simply because the coffee culture in this country is so competitive these days.

No particular order and preference is 'on tap'.

Stone & Wood Pacific Ale
Pirate Life South Coast Pale Ale
Young Henry's Newtowner
Fat Yak Pale Ale
James Squire 150 Lashes
Kosciusko Pale Ale
James Boag Premium.

I used to be a massive beer snob. Living in Cairns has tempered that given the lack of variety. James Squire 150 lashes is now my go to.

When I lived in Brisbane I had a brewery a few kms away that my mate from Uni set up. I miss having that available but I feel that my taste buds have changed.

Went for a few big chewy craft beers when we were in Adelaide over New Years and for the first time I could understand why some people think they are a bit much.

A 150 Lashes is one beer that I haven't minded in the past and got on the piss with my mates at times.

My local is Jervis Bay Brewing Co so I like to try and support them as much as possible. They're a good bunch of blokes and do a lot for the community. Not too over the top with most of their brews either. Some of the 10% milkshake ipa's and fruited sours from some breweries etc are too far imo.
