Has anyone wondered when doctors give people anti depressants and say you have a chemical imbalance how they know? Like without a blood test etc.
Feeling down = Chemical imbalance = Take these

I could understand if there where proper tests done to work it out. I dont even know if there is such a thing as a chemical imbalance. Sounds a bit made up.

So I am guessing it's play on for any footballer who has a 3cm hamstring tear moving forward.

Maybe turbo was wasting his time with that Philly bloke just go speak to novak how to pay with a hamstring tear.
Pure blood .... unpoisoned .... 😉

It's unblanced because your pills:blood ratio is too low.

If your Dr says that, you’re probably sitting with Mark at Dent Doctor Smash Repairs.

Take it to the cooker forums mate.

But there isn't a test. If you feel down and depressed you are diagnosed with a chemical Imbalance. Rather then working out ways to improve your mind set and feeling better.
You see the issue right? People are being told there is something wrong with their brain and why they need this to feel normal so accept it. When infact there is nothing wrong with them they just are going thru a rough patch.......
Lifestyle, diet and limiting alcohol should be first steps.

But there isn't a test.
This shows you are out of your depth and are only talking from what you think happens.

Mental health screening is a quite involved process and health professionals don't give sad people antidepressants.

I'm not suggesting antidepressant aren't helpfull. I'm sure they are to get get thru a tough period in life. But to be telling someone there brain is basically out of wack and that's why they need them is a lie.

Are doctors measuring people's neurotransmitters and testing serotonin levels? The assessment is made by a conversation.

I was given them at 18. I basicaly flipped out off them after 2 weeks. Almost died. So stopped taking them.

I was smoking 10 x cones a day amongst 16 drinks on a Saturday night and other party drugs. That was my issue. Plus I hadn't had a root yet.

Once I stopped all that and blew my load I was good as gold.

Doctors do recommend lifestyle changes if you're depressed, but the drugs are there to help you cope in the short term.
