I doubt he ever thought about any of it, just like he never thought about any of the animals he killed. Did they deserve to die? The answer is it doesn’t matter. The crocodile knew that much. He would agree that his own death shouldn’t matter to anyone but him.

He could argue that those deaths he caused were critical in keeping him alive. That’s a good medical reason.

But that his own demise was unnecessary.

I think his survival instinct, where it extended to consideration of peoples views, would support some feeling of gratitude for the gesture of saving his life.

But I don’t think it matters as to whether or not he can determine that, I and many others can derive considerable enjoyment from knowing that crocodiles are happy, doing crocodile things and living crocodiles lives.

It’s a shame that the fisherman and surfers couldnt enjoy the existence of a crocodile for its own sake and share the area or stay away until he moved on.

No I’m not, the conversation turned to speculation about the crocodiles consciousness and I put up a reasonable proposition based on its natural instinct for survival.

A number of animals take evasive action to avoid being killed and if he can contemplate how other creatures think, any pro-crocodilian conclusion reached would pass muster and insodoing he might find comfort of some kind.

One would have thought that’s not too outrageous a submission.

People don’t visit zoos to see humans moping around.

I ran over a Maltese terrier once in my VL. I thought it was a white box. That's when I realised I needed glasses. Mik was in the passenger seat just laughing as I lined it up in the middle of the car. He thought I knew it was a dog.

My friend Shemee her mum used to have cats. She'd come to school crying cause her mum would stick the kittens in the freezer to kill them.
As a kid I would hand raise rabbits. Then Dad would take them off me and bash them over the head. Then make me skin them. I was about 7. That's when I realised life is cheap and people think they are more important then they are.

In the end the mycelium network will dispose of your body. And turn you back into a mushroom.

The facts are that banning members is a last resort, as distinct from a suspension which is only temporary.

When members are banned and have been for years, we feel some deserve a second chance. They are all different members and so different circumstances and it can depend on what they were banned for.

In short, we know when they re-join and some get a second chance, some don't. And being a pest is not a rule violation, everyone is allowed their opinions.
