Loved this scene as a kid, from the movie Crossroads (not the Britney Spears film).



Apparently Vai also played/recorded the actual guitar parts the Karate Kid was miming to.

He played that song with the clip. Dude was ridiculously good. Probably best guitarist I’ve seen.

Shout out to the Emanuel Bros, i saw them a few times waaaay back before they were famous etc at Tamworth Country Music Festivus. They used to play annually at the RSL or whatever club is up there.

Whikst we are Aussie, shout out to Kevin Borich, Chris Cheney and Brad Shepherd.

Vai might not be everyone’s cup of tea but he is a genius with a guitar in his hand.

Comparable to Satriani, who I’ve seen but I reckon he puts on a better show.

Saw the brothers a few times back in the day. People just sat on the floor, drank beers and watched in stunned silence.

They did a version of “ Mozambique” that can’t be adequately described.

Tommy is regarded by many virtuosos as the greatest guitar player alive.

And has a lot of free stuff out there to help guitarists.

This is a great track for them as it is a work of art as a proper guitar song. Close your eyes and let it soak in. Mark would be very proud of this rendition.

I don’t think there’s ever been two better guitarists in human history. Just my view.

And we know, they kept getting better and more skilled as they got older.

Finally, no hair, image or bears dancing on barrels, humble and friendly.

I always found those guys to be great guitar players but just to much noise and not much feel for the sound. Id say Mark Knopfler and dude from Pink Floyd are best based ot on difficulty of what playing but the way their solos build. Slash also excellent for the same reason. Some of the best solos written.
