How can I not take the forum seriously mate when there are so many offensive homophobic and anti- LGBTI comments posted here?
Yes, I can ignore them, which I generally do. More than you would even know.
But it shouldn't stop me posting my thoughts about those comments.
Alternatively, I could just walk away considering what a shit show this joint has become.
As for your video - I generally do not watch stuff like that. In this case, I did. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I watched it in full.
If that video makes you feel better and more masculine and comfortable in your own skin, all power to you.

Was it ever advertised as being a safe space for those minorities?

if not, then I say suck it up and /or log out.

and I say this not targeted at you or anyone in particular. This is a public forum where I'm sure I could easily feel like my minority views are trampled on (whatever they may be).... But if I felt like that, I'd just leave....

Who is attempting the divide, and why are they doing it?

The corporate-bureaucratic ('middle') class is doing the dividing, and the reason is essentially to further entrench the status quo. Obviously the complicity of big business is a relatively recent phenomenon. The Occupy movement terrified them, and so the disgruntled young white grads and the various ethnic elites were pried away with promises of a seat at the table. Meanwhile the bulk of the working class were left to their opioids and communal breakdown.

I like being here. I always like reading the more learned posts which are rare but worthwhile reading. Those posts are becoming even rarer these days sadly.
What I do is generally ignore the bigger f**kwits who post shit. Hence why I do not ever reply to the trolls who get off on winding people up. We all know who they are.
However, on the rare occasion when something I find offensive is posted, I will call it out and have an opinion on it.
As you said, it's a public forum. I have as much right to oppose those views as those who propose them.
If I find some views offensive, I will choose when to let them go, and when I will rise up against them.
Just like everyone else can have an opinion and say whatever they want, whenever they can, within the rules of the forum.
