What are merkins thoughts on tipping at a restaurant? Are you ballers that throw it around like crypto or do you tip when there's exceptional service only........................or do you never tip?
If we go to a bar, the merkin isn't getting a tip for every fancy drink. They can get f**ked.

When we go out to dinner they get auto 10% on the Amex.

Sometimes Mrs Gronk gives a waitress $20 extra or more if she feels she did good and was around when we needed her and not a pest when we didn't.

Some restaurants (a few in Potts Point) automatically add gratuity to your bill. Savage.

This is spreading beyond Potts Point. I'm hearing between 3% and 10% depending on the restaurant. In my opinion automatic gratuity should be banned. This ain't the USA.

I have seen “Sunday Surcharge” obviously. And that’s fine because the award (before the libs tried to f**k with it anyway) used to have Sunday or Public Holiday rates.

However I personally like to reward for good service. Once the manager starts implying that it’s mandatory, then really he’s just put his prices up by stealth.

Let’s face it, he’s already charging me $95 for a mystery bottle of a Pinot Noir from Tasmania that you can’t buy at Dan Murphy’s, but we all know it’s prolly worth $32 retail.

I don't mind tipping but when it's shoved in my face to accept it or take it off then that business doesn't get my business. I don't want to see the added gratuity become common practice.

If it’s on the bill, I’m demanding it’s taken off and you won’t get a cent regardless of how good the meal or service was.

if you go absolutely beyond expectation then I’ll tip, but if it’s good service - that’s what you get paid a wage for…

If I tip, it's in cash preferably direct to the waitstaff. I don't trust the capitalist owners to divvy down to them if the tip is on the bill already, or part of the major payment by card.

That’s the point. It shouldn’t be allowed on the bill in the first place.

Another who doesn't know what the f**k they are talking about. Even in cryto arguments where you have been constantly owned you pick up a point in time that suits your argument.

Bitcoin

  • Inception price: $0.0008 to $0.01 (we'll use $0.01 for simplicity).
  • Current price: USD$100,000.

Dogecoin

  • Inception price: $0.00026.
  • Current price: USD$0.44.

Comparison

  • Bitcoin: ~10,000,000x increase since inception.
  • Dogecoin: ~1,692x increase since inception.

Conclusion

Bitcoin has risen far more than Dogecoin since their respective inceptions, both in percentage terms and absolute gains. Bitcoin's growth remains unparalleled in the cryptocurrency world.

Again @Poupou Escobar, please go f**k yourself and stick to the circular logic about player options.
If that’s seriously what you took out of Pou’s post then possibly you don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about.

Like I said he always takes a point in time. I took one too. And yes I’m a f**king expert with this stuff.
He at least took a point in time relevant to him. If the inception point of any coin is relevant to when you purchased, congrats maybe.
Cryptos are just a wealth transfer system at the moment. Their values are determined by the risk the general market feels they’ll be able to turn the coins over.
And you’re the expert claiming if you cash out in certain foreign markets, it’s tax free? The only use I can see for it is if you go holidaying there and have it as walking around money. But like my favourite quote from Ozark, all that unlaundered money gets you is a lifetime supply of groceries, or holiday knick knacks in this case. There may be a few expensive things you could get and bring back ok, but all you’ve done is trade the tax for the cost of trip to Europe or wherever. Which to you is probably a win but hey don’t whinge when you struggle to get government funding for anything you need here or taxes creep up again

I always tip, unless it's really poor service / food. Anyone dealing with the public at the level of service demanded of waitstaff, and having to put up with some of the dumb and their f**ks stupid demands they put up with deserves a tip for showing up for work.

Tell you what @Kornstar were the loudest motherf**kers I have ever heard booming from the park last night. Also the crowd between songs during their set.
