Boardwalk Empire was a great show.
The last season feels a bit hurried though. They got cancelled and had to finish the show with a shortened season (they only had 12 episode as season to begin with). At least it got a chance to finish though...unlike Deadwood.

Crikey, who's next?

Apparently, the bloke who has washed my windscreen for the past 20 years. Poor bugger. Vale Scrubby Stokes. I filled up the car with petrol late last week and drove home through the intersection that this bloke used to frequent and wondered 'has he taken a XMAS holiday'. Unfortunately not.

The Fargo series were both classics , series 1 was excellent with Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton

Series 2 , was just as good with Kirsten Dunst , well worth a watch

Agreed.

The first 2 seasons of Fargo have been brilliant overall IMO. Season 2 maybe tapered off a bit in the last couple of episodes but was still better than most TV drama you're likely to see.

It's going to be a tough ask for season 3 to maintain the high standard.

True Detective season 1 was compelling. Season 2 not so much, but there was probably enough good to save it from being average...

Just finished watching episode 4 of Jessica Jones.
It's definitely starting to pick up a bit now, but I'm still making up my mind about it.

So far I think Daredevil is better.

Anyone watching The Expanse? It seems to have promise even though it hasn't gripped me by the balls, yet.

The Shannara Chronicles is ok but a bit too fast paced. Trying to cram fantasy into television isn't always going to work like it has with GoT.

Also, Billions looks decent, but that might just be because of Paul Giamatti.

I watched the last episode of Homeland for this season and actually get the feeling that it will be the end of the show. Pity if it is as it's my second favourite modern show after Justified.

Can't wait for the X-Files next week!

Haven't seen that yet but just finished all of the seasons of Misfits.
Now that is a 'superhero' show unlike any other.

How the f**k do you merkins find the time to watch so much shit on TV?

Well, if you watch one episode per night on weeknights, that's 5 shows a week, theoretically. 45 minutes of TV a night isn't that much.

Considering most shows have 13-ish episodes per season these days, you can, you can watch 16-20 different seasons of TV per year.

I probably watch about 10 different shows religiously throughout the year, which is really only about 2 nights per week on average.

Not that much when you break it down.

Started watching the Dr Blake mysteries and have been enjoying it...

Nobody can pull off a murder with that high jinx Doctor around.

The number of murders in Ballarat is quite disturbing though...must have been a dangerous place to be in the 50s!!!
