Why use brew enhancer if they suggest ldm? To save a bit of money?
I added a bag of Cascade hops to my first batch but haven't bothered since. I don't know if it did anything. I just chucked the bag in about 4 days before bottling. Would it be more effective to make a tea with it then let it cool and chuck the lot in?

How much LDM does it say to use? Which Thomas Coopers do you have? I've done the Sparkling Ale just with LDM. I think the beer would've come out better with a mix of the Brew Enhancer with the LDM

How much Cascade did you put in?

1.5kg of ldm to make 23 litres. I have I think golden ale, type a, a couple of others I can't remember. They all suggest you use just ldm. Used the sachet of Cascade that's 6 grams or 11 grams. It's not big but the guy in the home brew store reckons it's big enough. Also that that was enough hops.

You'll need at least 50gm of Cascade to make too much of a difference to 23 litres. Try the 'tea bag' method and add it all to the brew if you're adding some hops. If you're looking for something to create an Aussie Pale Ale taste (150 lashes, Kosciusko, etc), use some Galaxy hops

In what quantities and where are you buying your hops?

I buy hop pellets online from Ebay from some place that i think is in Melbourne. I normally buy 50gm packets. It comes vacuum sealed. They're about $3-$5 for 50gm packs plus $3 each for delivery, but if you buy multiple packets delivery is cheaper

I also bought some small mesh type bags online. I got like 20 for $10 i think, they fit probably 100gm of hop pellets in them I'd say. They sort of a giant tea bag.

I'm not sure we can put links to ebay on here? I'd post the link otherwise

I’m in NYC at the moment (been here since Saturday and leave Boxing Day) and i have heard “Merry Christmas” more in that time in the shops and people on the street and even homeless people than i ever have in my lifetime in Australia.

Aren’t we always told Americans don’t say it?
