Not yet. I've got about 7 tins of the Thomas Coopers stuff. Should last me a while.

What else are you putting it with, just white sugar? Dextrose?? Coopers Brewhancer??? Dry Malt???

They all suggest ldm so that's what I'll probably be using. Although I just did one with brew enhancer, which could be why it smells funny. Not haha funny though.

Depending on which Brew Enhancer you use, it will contain a mix of dry malt, dextrose and something else which I think helps with head retention. It's just the levels that change with the type of Brew Enhancer. I don't think Brew Enhancer 1 has dry malt in it now that I think of it. I'd give Brew Enhancer 3 a go with the Thomas Coopers series and see how they go. You can also be creative and add some finishing hops into the fermenter.

I'd also try and keep them for 6 weeks before giving them a try.

Why use brew enhancer if they suggest ldm? To save a bit of money?
I added a bag of Cascade hops to my first batch but haven't bothered since. I don't know if it did anything. I just chucked the bag in about 4 days before bottling. Would it be more effective to make a tea with it then let it cool and chuck the lot in?
