In any case - he was more talented than anyone else I've ever seen, and we will never see another entertainer of his calibre. That was the point - and it still stands.

So because they weren't being hounded at the time of their deaths it invalidates the years of harassment they faced?

I'm sure some/most of the meds/drugs they were on were in part to due the media scrutiny.

You are right though, the scrutiny was much less, the damage had been done though imo.

How did you come up with that one?

How big a part and how much 'damage'?

All three of those people you refer to had some pretty tragic and f**ked up things occur in their personal lives that would have had a much more profound impact on them than any media interest. Some of them are even quoted as suggesting as much.

All I did was mention the man's talent, and comment regarding said talent, and you and your mate decided to take that as meaning he is a personal hero of mine.

I think he's one of the greatest entertainers of all time, but there are serious question marks over his private life.

I don't recall calling him a personal hero of yours. Pretty sure I just insinuated he was a rock spider
