Can you explain this thinking in more detail, please.
Who is attempting the divide, and why are they doing it?
I don’t think anyone is attempting to divide us. I just think that we have empowered these misfits and the world has suffered.

What annoys me most is the people that agree with these f**king losers and give them a voice. If I was in politics there would be no pretending. I'd tell them straight out that I don’t want or need their vote and that I won’t be pandering to them. I’d basically tell them in the most eloquent way I could to get f**ked.

Look at how our own government tried to politicise lockdowns

The government made rules that they felt would stop the spread of a virus and save lives. It was the people who opposed these rules who politicised the situation.

Having said that, anything the government does is political. That kind of comes with the territory when you're a politician.

and what Djokovic went through a few years back? In hindsight was that the right platform to do it in? Australia looked like idiots to the entire world.

That wasn't a sport thing. It was a safety thing. The government made rules to try and keep the Australian people safe. Djokovic didn't follow the rules, so he wasn't allowed in. I think you'll find that most of the world did not think of us as idiots during this situation, and it's only Djokovic fans (like yourself) who see otherwise.

See, this is why I posted all those pictures in my previous posts.
All of those people were seen as 'misguided', 'misfits', 'f**king losers' and most probably worse. words than those back then.

How are they thought of now?

That's the thing about progressives. They see that the world can be better and will try to move towards it. Conservatives see that the world is fine and we don't need to change anything.

You literally just said that liberals/lefties/progressives shouldn't have a voice. I'm pretty sure you don't actually mean that.

Novak was honest from the outset. He said he was never vaccinated and that Tennis Australia said that he could enter the country because he previously had COVID. Tennis Australia and our own Government didn't communicate their intentions and the world's best player was basically jailed "to protect the country" Give me a f**king break. It had nothing to do with Novak not following the rules it had everything to do with incompetence by our sporting and commonwealth bodies.

Which made us look like fools.

I never said they should be muzzled. I said I don't agree with their bullshit and their agenda. However people like you that empower these misfits I have a bigger problem with because you end up agreeing with them. You are misguided just like those gay activists supporting Palestine who deep down would throw them off a building.

Define "progressive's".

If that's the mob promoting nonsense such as graduation ceremonies for pre-schoolers when they leave day care, who promote the use of non-binary pronouns, who label hard working folk who say "no more" to immigration and handing out state funds to gyppo/asylum seekers when they can't house they're own citizens as "right wing extremists" - then count me the f**k out.

History will eventually show this to be a complete failure of humanity (hu-woman-ity as it will probably be changed to soon) and the antithesis of progressive IMO. And if it doesn't, then that'll be a society I wouldn't want to be a part of anyway....

Graduation ceremonies for preschoolers and non-binary pronouns have no negative affect on the world at all. I don't see the issue with these.

Some people go too far on the spectrum, yeah. Just like some do in the other direction.
The problem with these things is that people only look at things from the extreme points of view and so push harder in the opposite direction. Most of this is the media pushing these stories, so it's hard to blame them.

As for the definition of 'progressives'. It's the opposite of 'traditionalist'. A progressive is an advocate of social improvement and change. It's understandable that a huge section of society is happy with how things are and don't want to change anything, but that doesn't mean there is another huge section of society who aren't happy and would like to change the way things are. A lot of the time those changes won't affect the first group of people, and yet they will still fight against the change (case in point, preschool graduations and non-binary pronouns).

That's a bad sell for being progressive IMO...

And seriously, what have you got against preschool graduations?
I can't wrap my head around it. Seems a silly thing to get cranky about.

He doesn't seem angry about it. I reckon his view is more we celebrate everything nowdays and pamper far to much. People develop a far to high sense of self importance. And these people tend to be at a heightened risk of developing into a wanker later in life.

It’s just stupid like getting a participation ribbon in a race.
Pretty much. "Graduating" used to mean something, like you achieved something you worked hard for. Hence a big deal at Uni or finishing year 12....

But these days apparently spending 3 years having a stranger clean your arse and change your clothes after you've soiled yourself and wipe snot from your face is cause for celebration.... Progressive.
