I know plenty (OK a few) of people who have sought a new life for their families and arrived on these shores with nothing.

Be it Jewish refugees from WWII, Vietnamese "boat people" in the 80's, to Afgans etc from the current era.

Their stories are horrific and feature amazing courage.

Wonderful people and make a fantastic contribution to our society.

When I was staying with my grandfather in Llandilo, and driving through Willmott/Tregear/Shalvey to get to work each day, I once noticed a dead dog on some bloke's nature strip (next to the VB Commodores on besa bricks). 5 days later it was still there.
