He handled it poorly imo.

If she committed an illegal act she deserves a right to be heard, this prima donna made himself judge and jury which is totally wrong imo. He had no legal right to eject imo.

As mush as I do not like the guy, I also dont support the booing. Unsportsmanlike imo, and I've never booed an athlete in my life, I just dont get that bit.

Not knowing much about Goodes or this thing in general, the vague sense I do get from it all is it is, at least partially, another example of the left screaming "BIGOTRY!" and then expecting everyone to shut up and be guilted into accepting the moral superiority they are trying to enforce on society.

seriously HJ ?

you're making this into a political issue ?

everything is the lefties fault ?

You must be the only parra fan to not have booed Jamie Lyon or the Storm cheats.

Probably, but I've never booed anyone

Not me. I've booed plenty. Players not having a solid go, QLDers, Pommies, Kiwis, Saffas (does this make me racist?) , players I don't like, cheats, the list goes on. All part of the fun of sport. There are good guys and bad guys and fans decide which are which.

You're assuming that all fans think like you. Of course if they did, then their boos would be based on merkin value rather than race like your good self.

BUT you don't know what they say and why they say it cos your not at the fence. So why assume that he's jumping to conclusions and being a cry baby ? Why can't you take what he says at face value and run with it ? What stops you believing him and makes you dismiss this as a storm in a teacup and him a big sook ?

If people are making racist comments then those people need to be ejected from the venue. But it is the 'booing' I am referring to. The people who are simply booing shouldn't be stopped unless you put a blanket ban on booing anyone in the AFL. Not going to happen. Unless you support making a rule for some people (ie. you are not allowed to boo Adam Goodes) and different rules for others (You can boo every other mofo).

I'd say I generally don't boo too much ... but fmd I was happy to give it to those cheating storm pricks that game at pirtek in 2010

Agreed. Was only a small crowd due to the weather but one of the best atmospheres I've ever been at Parra stadium

I learnt from my playing days that being booed only helped to motivate me. I do boo referees as I see plenty of crowd penalties. Having said that booing certainly hasn't motivated Goodes, wish it would have.

You can boo if you like.
I just prefer to yell something like "What the f**k are you doing you stupid f**king ref!" as opposed to "Boooooooo."

I agree. You pay big time for your ticket as a spectator. You get reamed on the ticket price itself then get bent over on drinks and food (if you can call it food). Booing is part and parcel of the spectators right to get their money's worth for the entertainment offered. The day that is removed from games is the day nobody will bother attending. Boo for the right reason....because they play for the opposing team (which is not how how I see this melodrama being seized upon by the political loones).

The haka?

Nah, I typically just turn to the spectator on my right, bitch-slap them once and then do a hybrid blend of the Macarena, Achey Breaky Heart, and the dance that David Brent does in The Office. If I'm feeling really daring, I start by slapping the spectator on the left.

But more seriously, there's a big difference between the 'pantomime' boo which should always be a part of sport, and some of the more questionable shit.
