Talk is cheap Doctor Death. You don't have a NRL team and you're never going to get one.

You may as well give up and spend your time enjoying your life rather than being bitter and twisted!

Let's save this quote from another Manly genius in about 8 months - when the chat about a bankrupt Manly becomes reality.

:iwstupid: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb: :blahb:

not dead just hibernating from the nrl until 2007

   We heard the same line in 02,03,04,05 now it's 07 ?

The line we've all been hearing is Manly will be in the 8 next year - 2002, 2003, 2004 - but each year comes and goes and the Manly cellar dwellers get belted from pillar to post. Pathetic - even with News Limited's assistance.

It's good to see people predictions of Manly going Broke getting longer and longer. In 2001 we were weeks away, 2002 we were a month away, 2003 we were a few months away, this year we were half a year away...

...What'll be this time? 8, 9 months? do I have any takers

2002 - 9th

I assume you can't count past five...That means we were one position and one win really away from the eight.

2003 - was the clubs first year since 99, nothing above 10th was expected.
2004 - 800K+ under the cap with an inexperienced side. Apart from the token positive bias that every footy fan has for their team, no one expected the top 8. It was a goal but not an expectation.

2005 - finance...experience...fresh blood...= Top 8.

Can we please drop the crap about Manly "being back".
The Northern Eagles was simply Manly in a thin disguise - same nickname, colours, management, coach. Even vautin used to call them Manly.

Difference now is - you have bugger all money and blokes who refuse to tackle (probably because they're worried about whether they're going to get paid!)

Facts are Manly and Norths where equally broke when they merged, vautin was against the merger after he did his sums he realised that after they merged payed debts and players they would be still 2 mill in the red as before a merger.
The likes of arthurson and Fulton wanted the merger the same blokes who rail roaded vautin last year, the only smart one there.

Bears should produce some thing with central coast ...BUT ......cant have the same management that screwed the club

As an Entity Manly chewed and spat the bears out.
Roosters are always self funded and have a great promotional scheme the rubbish was said the same people funding them doesnt stand thats crap.

Yes we were not broke.

But as for the well drying Cliffy, I don't think so. We went back after all. It was pressure being applied to go for the merger because nobody at the time wanted to get serious about changing the business setup. The merger was the worst business decision ever made at Manly.

Facts with PROOF:
1. Manly got money from News Ltd, blew it - then refused to pay ex-players as required. No excuses.
2. The merger saved Manly from falling over. Business decision? You had no choice.
3. "Privatisation" (firesale) got you $3 million with debts well over $2 million. After 2 BK's, there's nothing left. You are in "serious" financial trouble. Proof: after a terrible season, if you DID have money, you wouldn't be the least active club in the player market.

Drop the propaganda, girls. learn some facts.

I'm surprised you can still type through all those tears.

I seem to remeber him saying these things continously for the last 3 years (under 1000s of different user names at ME forum)

i really wish you'd stop posting this bullsh#t and do something constructive about saving your club.

Get it through you thick skull that manly are in the NRL to stay and will make an announcement in the coming days that will see us finaincally sound for years to come. Forget about us and concerntrate on the bears it sounds like its make or break time. Maybe instead of getting on here and posting this crap you should be ringing and emailling every business in the North Shore trying to get sponsors for the bears.
