This is not really worth posting as an article yet till the club releases more news - but here it is.

This is an official notice from the North Sydney Club that will appear on their website proberbly on Friday.

"The North Sydney Club is examining possible relationships with NRL clubs for 2005 to allow our players to have a clear pathway to top flight Rugby League and to boost our strength on the playing field with the inclusion of NRL quality players"

A further announcement will follow in the next few weeks.

The Club looks to be very happy with what they have arranged.

Cheers

Just out of interest Steve, when out in Oz I read a lot about the Central Coast bid team considering whether they would listen to any overtures from the Super 12. Do you think it will happen and what kind of response would they get? Be a crying shame if the failure to expand led to another Rah Rah mob :D
BTW saw your boys playing before the Bulldogs v Cowboys game.

It's not likely to happen in the next year or so because dispit reports to the contrary the CC bid IS leaving the door open if the NRL decide to expand.

Until then they will try to get as many games no matter who it is to keep the stadium financial.

How do you rate the CC's chances when compared to GC and Wellington? Inevitable that if the NRL expand (think they should myself), two are going to lose out.

Good idea by the bears, sharks have a similar deal for next year with the jets, opens up the top side to a much wider pool of talent :D

norths fans will be for it [no matter who it turns out to be, bar the "M" word], as the feeder deal with not be any sort of jv or that other "M" word, merger
a jets/sharks, 'westside story' like deal, 100% independent of each other

Go you mighty Bears. Best decision made by the club since the war easily. Assuming of course this is a similar deal to the cronulla-newtown arrangement.

It's good to see the lower placed teams in premier league are now going to be more competitive.
