I agree with Steve... this is all sounding very familiar. In 2002 and again in '05 we were talking about the juniors we had coming through and the players we'd signed and how we would build on that success and create a "dynasty"... let's win tomorrow night, and talk about dynasties when we have at least one modern-day premiership!

Dynasties - Roosters, Broncos, Penrith, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Manly and even Newcastle were going to dominate for a decade because of the age of their teams, the calibire of players etc. The salary cap makes that virtually impossible.

Before it is even considered, lets get through Friday night first.

Its all about dreams Colonel and what feelings and thoughts we create to put into our dreams. If we create a dream for a child that is healthy, strong and happy but we then feed it dead processed food, dead life-less juices/drinks and feed it negative destructive thoughts, feelings, ideas and attitudes, etc, we distort our dream in such a way that it becomes terribly corrupted, therefore the dream is being destroyed, unable to be fulfilled.

The Dream That Is The Eels Golden Age Dynasty eventuates because we all think and feel it without corrupting it.

If the dream lives for all the Eels players, present and future, its officials, coaches and fans etc, then those concerned will be prepared to make personal sacrifices (e.g. a smaller salary) to make that dream live. As with all of life, if we get off our own agendas and demands and focus on what we can do for others, the world becomes a much happier place. Until we do so, the sh*t continues, whether on the small scale of Parramatta Footy Club or on the large scale of worldwide. We are all responsible for the outcomes of everything we put our energy/power of creation into.

Instead of thinking about the what if's, maybes and maybe nots of the future, along with all the doubts, criticisms, ridicule, abuse and fear that go hand in hand, let's put all our positive energy into the performance of the Eels tomorrow night and not allow any distortions to enter the dream of a Parramatta Grand Final win. That's the best we can do.

When two of us live (think and feel) for the same dream (without corrupting it), the living dream expands becoming like the power of 7 of us. When five of us live for the same dream etc, etc, it expands into the power of many hundreds of us. Imagine how big and powerful the dream becomes when hundreds of us think and feel (live) for the same dream??? Imagine when there are thousands of us living for the same dream, without corrupting it????

It all goes wrong when we destroy our dreams, when we no longer take full-responsibility for our dreams. Everything of life is information that either supports or destroys our dreams. It is up to us to choose the right information. Best not to be distracted with information that corrupts our dreams.

crap it isn't impossible, the solution is re-signing your genuine stars, and retaining those who are most important to the dyanmics of the side - Melbourne have proved it, as well Brisbane over many years...and to a lesser extent the Bulldogs - last year was mainly due to a number of factors off the field for them.
