Only the ones who are fully ready. Smith isnt. But maybe some others to be brought in for our underpreformers.

Yes.

Bring on Mateo, Ben Smith and a few young forwards.

I sometimes hate supporting my Eels. I get my hopes up for nothing.

It's tough now, but we have been through worse.

You need to have the sour.

I think mateo needs more time. At times he shows spark but geez his defence at times is so poor and he is a more suited lock. I dotn understand why he was resigned because we now have wagon most likely to move to lock but iam glad he did becasue he definatly does bring something to a lucklustre team. In a way he is like dykes where he can create something out of absolutely nothing

Anyone that won't be re-signed for next year should make way for players who will be here next year. Time prepare some players for the next season.

I dont get to see that many of the 1st division games but what i have seen i reckon he could be a very good player. IMO he looks like he could be a bit fitter and maybe with that his defence would improve.[/b]

Are you kidding Mate, you can't understand why he was resigned, because he's one of the hottest junior prospects going round. He's young, do you think Wagon will be around much longer?
Yes he needs to fix his defence that comes with him being unfit and getting tired during the game. He's a skillfull player.
Tim Smith is slow and needs another 2 years I believe.
We should have threw at least 200k at Joe Williams - "The next Matt Orford"

Indeed! At least we still have a chance to make the finals! Things were a lot worse only ten years ago, so now is not something that will break a true Eels fan's resolve.

But look, we could always drop a few games and still make it. Just means that next week (which was one of the games I had pencilled in for a loss) needs to be won. Win it and we are in the same position that we would have been if we won yesterday and lost next week.

Don't give up just yet.

HJ is right we are still in for a chance but we need to gain some consistancy. Mateo has impressed me at times but he is not a 5/8. I was wondering if Brian smith has any power of decision making such a selection and positioning of players in premmies.

Don't forget that its possible to get into the position where you can't blood new players at this time of the year because if you've already used your $300k for second-tier players, using any more would push you over the salary cap.

So Parra lost all 3 grades, surely it was Thormans fault, send him back to England he was a pathetic 18th man.

I went to watch the lower grades at Redfern Oval and once again Tim Smith playing at 7. was rubbish but surely thats Thormans fault, when Smith was shite at playing 5/8 but that was Thormans fault too.
