Noyce has resigned as CEO

I'd like to see Warren McDonald get the job. He's managed to re-sign most of our top flight players and and lure talented players like Mathew Head and Gareth Ellis. Seems to me he has an idea on what he's doing and could do better things in the top job.

Can I ask what your thoughts are on the following:

Sam Harris
Jamaal Lolesi
Peter Lewis
John Morris
Ryan O'Hara
Shannon McDonnell

Ignore the positives, focus on the negatives, thats all you fkucwits here do.
Every clubs would have there share of dud signings, its always a gamble

Well obviously all these players were signed after discussions with Tim Sheens and Steven Noyce.

Sam Harris - Was signed after approached by Balmain legend Steve Roach who gave Sam Harris huge wraps. Wasn't the player he was hyped up to be so he was punted.

Jamaal Lolesi - Premiership winning player with the Bulldogs and Kiwi international who was off contract. Was average for us at best and during his time with us it was clearly evident his best was behind him. Was given a release to go to the UK.

Peter Lewis - I would agree this guy was a f*ck up.

John Morris - Was bought as the best option at the time to replace Scott Prince.

Ryan O'Hara - Plays state of origin while at canberra. Gets injured and comes of contract while injured. Had to be signed on his pre-injury form.

Shannon McDonnell - Excells in any grade but has yet to stamp his mark on first grade.

Apart from Peter Lewis, all those other players had to be signed on their individual form at the time of signing. If any of those other players apart from Peter Lewis signed with other clubs and became world beaters you would be spewing we didn't sign them. Sam Harris and Jamaal Lolesi didn't work out and I dont blame Warren for signing them and I applaude him and Tim for punting them as quickly as they did. John Morris will prove to be a valuable utility player for us, Shannon McDonald's chances of impressing are starting to run thin and the club tried to off load Ryan O'Hara to the Bulldogs but the dogs wouldnt buy out his contract and i'm sure when his contract run's out he'll probably head off to the UK.

With exception of Peter Lewis, all those other players HAD to be signed and Warren McDonald did sign them. The question I'll pose to you is, at the time of their signing, give me a reason why they shouldnt have been signed when you take into account their form/reputation and recommendations at the time of their signing.

So you would support McDonnell as CEO? What experience has he had in this line of work?

Why am I a farkwit? Because I dare to question things?

Yes. Sheens has as much blame as anyone.

Sam Harris - Was signed after approached by Balmain legend Steve Roach who gave Sam Harris huge wraps. Wasn't the player he was hyped up to be so he was punted.

Never got along with Sheens, another reason why he was punted. Was known to be a lazy trainer and he was signed anyway. Big $$$ also.

Jamaal Lolesi - Premiership winning player with the Bulldogs and Kiwi international who was off contract. Was average for us at best and during his time with us it was clearly evident his best was behind him. Was given a release to go to the UK.

Should never have been signed. Was not cheap.

Peter Lewis - I would agree this guy was a f*ck up.

Yes, a major one. Would have cost peanuts, but the bloke was talked up as if he was some superstar.

John Morris - Was bought as the best option at the time to replace Scott Prince.

Was not the best option. Can't the best option when he's not a halfback. Plain and simple, blind jerry could have seen it. Yet he was bought for big $$$ and was persisted with for one and a bit years. The biggest joke of them all - how can you possibly say he was the "best option". Thats p1ss poor.

Ryan O'Hara - Plays state of origin while at canberra. Gets injured and comes of contract while injured. Had to be signed on his pre-injury form.

Yes, and Mr McDonnell signed this bloke up for a tad under 400K p.a. Great business there, right?

Shannon McDonnell - Excells in any grade but has yet to stamp his mark on first grade.

You forgot one point - only in first grade because of his father. Give me one other logical reason.

Apart from Peter Lewis, all those other players had to be signed on their individual form at the time of signing. So John Morris, a hooker/utility HAD TO BE SIGNED to replace Scott Prince, a premiership winning halfback? Great logic there. Morris should never have been signed because he isn't a f**king halfback. It's not rocket science.

I wonder why the Bulldogs weren't interested in O'Hara? I'd suggest it may be because his wages are almost 400 thousand f**king dollars a season. So you think O'Hara HAD TO BE SIGNED on this kind of money?

Sam Harris, a known lazy trainer with poor work ethic HAD TO BE SIGNED. Why did he have to be signed? His form was hardly great at the time, and if you remember, Manly fans were over the moon we took him. Again, on big $$$.

The only one I'll spare is Lolesi, I perhaps would have signed him as well. The rest - you are kidding. Indefensible. Especially Morris, the worst one of them all. How can you defend us signing a f**king hooker/utility to fill the void left by Scott Prince, arguably the best halfback in the competition?

You're talking with hindsight right know which makes me realise that you know f*ck all about nothing. If O'Hara had have kept his form and played Origin again you'd be raving at how good a signing he was but fortunately for you he didn't and it gives f*ckwits like you, MOTH and Eddie fuel to rave on how f*cken stupid the club is for signing him. When Scott Prince left how many quality half backs were available, f*uck all and none, thats how many. Instead of standing around saying "what the f*uck do we do know" Tim Sheens tried something. Sure it wasn't a great success the fact is he tried, didn't work so he signs the first quality half in Mathew Head.

If you and any other genius think you can do better, there's a job available at the club now, go hand in your resumé and see how far you get.

...If O'Hara had have kept his form and played Origin again you'd be raving at how good a signing he was...

Even at his peak, he got a lone outing for SOO. Even if he HAD "kept his form", that's $400K... 3 years. That tag again- $400K. For 3 years. Was he Willie Mason good? Gotta give top marks for sheer brinksmanship, I guess.

...When Scott Prince left how many quality half backs were available, f*uck all and none, thats how many...

That's not quite accurate. And it was known, long before he handed in his notice, that Prince was a real concern beyond 06. If you wait until the horse has bolted, it doesn't make things easier. But there were options after that. In any event, over $200K, for a utility, for 3 years? That isn't signing an "interim", while sourcing a Halfback. That's presuming a theory is going to be awesome, and hocking the furniture on the bet.

WT are seriously running the risk of ending up like Penrith post 03. In fact, we seem to have already arrived. Questions like recruitment through to upgrades, selections, and defence, just for starters, need to be asked.

Jesus christ Ronald is a dinosaur. About as dynamic as a block of rotten cheese and as ethical as Roger Rogerson with regards looking after his own. Imagine Ronald trying to negotiate with sponsors and blue chip companies with his pair of 3 Aces in Peter Lewis, Junior Burger and John Morris. We'd have 24 backrowers and junior burger in our top 25.

If Ronald is appointed CEO it would make the appointment of Shane Richardson seem like the appointment of Donald Trump.

There is 1 man ... No 9 ... Bouncing Benny EEEEEEEEEEEEEEElias

That Leichhardt Ground announcer was the best way back then:
Number 1 .. Tim Burrrrrr Ashaaaaaaaaaaa

We were so sh*t back then the highlights were the reading of the team and getting in to watch reserve grade get spanked and running down to the fence to tell John Mulvihill how sh*t he was as they stood in the in goal. I hear he is in the running for NSW coach in yawnion ... will do wonders for league in this state

To be a CEO of a multi million dollar football club you need to have some experience in all facets of the operation now I dont know Ronalds Background but I have a gut feeling he would struggle to run a sausage sizzle. Gone are the days when the x front row forward can move into the big seat upstairs. You need people with experience and a good mix of the skills required

Correct SC ... whilst a job for the boys mentality got him the current gig he is currently f**king up to the best of his ability, the boards of the 2 football clubs will not appoint this dinosaur to be the face of the WT. He isn't dynamic would think that a football club can be funded on the sales of Junior Burger masks, doubles on the main game, meat tray raffles and the like.

If Benny is not the man I would then go for someone who is a mate of Alan Jones. Now whilst a complete genius as a coach, there is no disputing that Jones is sweet with the big end of town and someone close to Jones would open many doors for us as a club.

One name that comes to mind is Bryan Smith the ex half ... Oxford grad, a very big mate of AJ's, young, football background ... but for all i know he is prob on 2 mil a yr at Macq Bank or JP Morgan.
