700? How the f**k do you know that? Starling would have been my pick.OK so matching the Dogs offer of $700k+ is silly ? At least we agree with that.
Which hooker was on the market you say ?
His defence is pretty decent and running game quite good but his service is average and so is his ball playing ability. He’d be a very good 14.talking of a hooker, what is Marshall-Kings service like?
He could be a cheapie to add to the squad for next year. Looks to be going ok, in the dogs games I have watched. And obviously no where near Mahoney class, but his running / defence stats are better then Mahoney this year so far (averaging 70 metres, defending at 94% 2.3 TB)
Robson would of been my choice. I’ve rated him since he was at the Dragons. How much experience do you need at 9 when we have the experienced Moses and Gutho already in the spine? Even D Brown will be at around 75 games. A young hooker like Starling, Robson or Verills would have been a better option than a busted Hodgson.
Right, so the Mahoney shit show was happening in Oct/Nov 2021 and you would have signed Starling who was just arrested for the second time ?700? How the f**k do you know that? Starling would have been my pick.
Robson signed a 4 year deal with the Cows in 2020. So he wasn't actually on the market, right ?Robson would of been my choice. I’ve rated him since he was at the Dragons.
We all know contracts aren’t the paper they are written on FFSRobson signed a 4 year deal with the Cows in 2020. So he wasn't actually on the market, right ?

f**king no chance. The difference is demand would be significant. But by the looks we only offered him 50k less than what we originally offered Rheed. 400k is still massive overs for an age old pensioner coming here in a Walker.
There was an article that suggested he wanted out and was offered to the eels.Robson signed a 4 year deal with the Cows in 2020. So he wasn't actually on the market, right ?

Sources say our first offer to Mahoney was 450k, obviously we didn’t rate him that highly or we just thought he’d happily re-sign whatever we offered him.f**king no chance. The difference is demand would be significant.
Him and Verrills were rumoured to be options floated to replace Mahoney, both would of been better options than Old Man Hodgo. There was an article that suggested he wanted out and was offered to the eels.
It doesn't make sense that the offers would be close. Those making that claim are just trying to destabilise the club.According to TCT (I think it was) we were outbid by $200K for Rheed, wasn't even close.
He wanted to stay but apparently, his dream is to set up his own gym and the new contract with the Dogs will allow that to happen quicker.
$450k is within the range of what he is worth. $600k at the top. On his current form he is worth no more than $500k. What's he worth with a chronic, recurring shoulder injury? We don't have all the information, but we have more than Canterbury, plus we are less desperate. Why would we let them force us to overpay? You never run into cap trouble by not signing players.Sources say our first offer to Mahoney was 450k, obviously we didn’t rate him that highly or we just thought he’d happily re-sign whatever we offered him.
Either way it was dumb.
Lol, just lol. So Mahoney is only worth 50k-100k worth more than Hodgson?? Once again shit canning a player who hasn’t even left the club yet. I’ll say it again massive fan lol.$450k is within the range of what he is worth. $600k at the top. On his current form he is worth no more than $500k. Hodgson is still a better player?????His form is way down, and at his best he isn't half the player Hodgson was at his best. Hodgson is still a better player. The only doubts are over his availability.
What hobbling off after 5 mins in round 1??? Hodgson was pretty average last year and was outplayed by Starling most weeks.Based on his most recent form compared to Mahoney's he is.
They might be waiting to see what happens with Hodgson’s contract with us and go all out for his services. He’s apparently still a much better player than Mahoney………….I used to wonder why the Dogs still haven't officially announced Rheed's signing for 2023.
