Mate, you just hit a nerve with this post, because my partner has Huntington's too. She is 54 and in a very similar state to your Cuz. I just literally have come back from the hospital today where she is going to spend the next 2 weeks. It is a terrible disease and I am definitely not looking forward to the next couple of years. I don't know how we're going to cope, but some how I guess we will have to.

Anyway thanks for bringing it up and making people aware of it. Good luck to your cuz and just being around him I'm sure helps him cope a little better even if it is hard to tell.

Cheers mate.

so sorry to hear that mate,

thank god we have footy

Spud actually does better at the commentary than I expect of him .... which i must admit is exceptionally low expectations .... But yeah he can be a bit of a disaster on NRL 360 - like his who needs edge forwards.

Also, interestingly (or not), Ray Hadley said Blocker was one of the most insightful commentators he has ever worked with during the matty johns interview ..... personally I've never been a fan of blocker's commentary

That was ridiculous and agenda driven. More like Blocker is the most loyal commentator that follows orders like a good soldier should is more like it. Insightful? Dear Lord, as insightful as a massive black hole maybe. The guy has very little other then the very obvious to tell or say as play unfolds. When was the last time he was chosen to break down a play on the big screen during a pre game analysis. Oh that's right...NEVER.

He is a likeable guy but a terrible co-commentator and other then a cameo once or twice a year for nostalgia purposes, he should not be commentating on games. I can't believe M. Gasnier is gone but we have Blocker instead. I wonder too, when will his cherries drop? When he hits 70? That voice is not a commentators friend or a lovers.

And tomorrow night it's Horse Head Hadley, Bozos best mate. I'll give it a miss till Wednesday me thinks.
Great player, great respect. RIP Bozo and Manly were terrific yesterday but I'm trying to move on.
