I think people are being harsh on Vonny. And only because she is not Ben.
She was hired/chosen to be the host of the show, not to offer critical discussion and opinions. That is what the rest of the boofheads are supposed to do.
I think she has done well to keep the show flowing and let the blokes be the critical analyzers.
She has done her job admirably so far.

The programme was always going to change somewhat with a different host with a different personality at the helm. For those of you expecting it to stay the same with a Ben Ikin clone, well, you are all just as dumb as the "experts" on the show offering their "expert" opinions.

The show to remain exactly the same?
It was always going to be different, but IMO, it isn't as different as some have suggested.
And to those that criticize her for her weight gain over the years, shame on you.

It was particularly bad after Kent left for the boxing match in the last episode. Just a completely different tone to what it used to be.

I’ve never really been a big fan of Vonny. Not that I disliked her or anything, I just didn’t see why she was regarded as such a great League personality. She’s rather boring to me.

There really isn’t a lot of great on-air talent when it comes to footy commentary these days, either on Fox or Nine. The good ones are few and far between. So it seems strange to me when you have someone as great as Lara but she gets pushed to the side. Even Voss (who can be hard to take at times, but he certainly loves his footy and knows what he’s talking about) would have been a good panelist for the show. Better than Vonny, Hadley, Hooper or the other dipshits they get on there.

Even the ‘legends’ they put on there are hard to watch. Toovey can hardly get through a sentence without stammering and Carroll probably has CTE.

Yep, agree with all of that. It's impossible to always keep everyone happy. Vonny was never going to be an Ikin clone. She is what she is.
Also, I agree that Ikin was someone who had been there, done that. Also, he's a very intelligent and literate person, hence why he is now in the high position that he is. It was always going to be impossible to replace him like for like. Fox just don't have anyone similar. Channel 9 does though. Sterlo was the closest person who could have been an Ikin clone.

Anyway, we have what we have, and I will still continue to watch the show for the lol's of Kent, Hooper, Hadley and red face.
Von will just be the glue that keeps it together. I'm fine with that.

He has been a terrible disappointment. Comes across as a tool with double standards. The other night he said that he couldn't play with someone like Paul Vaughn yet was happy to play in the Storm system with the greatest salary cap scandal in the history of the game and later with the sombrero at the Roosters.

I love Vossy.

He can be up the nose for some people, but he knows the game, has a sense of humour, and is a great caller, imo
