Most agencies have bumped the line up to -19.5 now.

Afraid that may still not be enough for the Titans, going to be a bloodbath

Sydney is paying 1.20 on the tri-bet, that means a simple 7 point win for the Roosters gives your multis a nice boost

1. Brisbane vs Canterbury 1: (13+) Brisbane @ 1.58

2. New Zealand vs North Qld 1: (Straight) New Zealand @ 1.29

3. Sydney vs Gold Coast 2: (Line (1.9)) Gold Coast ( +19.5) @ 1.91

4. South Sydney vs Parramatta 1: (Straight) South Sydney @ 2.80

1 and 2 I'm fairly confident about. 3 i'm a bit halfhearted about. 4 is really a hopeful money spinner. But Parra are woeful and Souths are scoring trys when they want to.

I also took Storm, Broncs, Warriors and Roosters in a multi paying over $2.

What do you guys think?

Had a nice multi last week.
Manly giving away the 7.5 start against the titans into
Saints to beat Newcastle
Into canberra with the 17.5 start against the storm

Put $10 and collected $55

That's great, but the purpose of this thread is to call bets before the game.

Post before you boast.

I generally take a team with the + start if I think they have a legitimate chance of winning the game. Sure +19.5 is a boatload of points but what is your thinking behind the Titans getting inside that number tonight?

The other legs look good, think the Bunnies definitely present some value on the start price

Panthers to cover the line tonight at -6.5 pts
the home crowd is due for a good home game and Newcastle with Gidley in the 9 has not been very successful this season

I have a feeling the dogs will keep the margin at 1-12 and giving away the 19.5 is always a risk, Melbourne two weeks ago were spotting 20.5 and nearly won, it's just a personal preference of mine to avoid huge starts. I think you could find a bit more payout in the NZ vs NQ game by looking at other match options and Souths vs Parra well I agree that anything could happen there, for me I am taking Souths the dozen start at 1.46

Thought i might start posting my weekly bets here and keep a record....
This week i have

$200 on Cowboys +10.5 @ 1.90
$200 on Souths +6.5 @1.90
See some value in both of those lines

I just think the Panthers are too anemic in attack to beat a side convincingly. They only beat Parra by 6 last week, and scored 12 points against both Brisbane and St. Geroge. As a result, I'm staying out of tonight's match. But best of luck.

Thanks Tom and you make a good point re the Panthers but I think they have turned the corner, the young guys have come in and are going well, Coote is great, Graham has improved each of his 3 games and Iosefa is keeping Priddis out and probably should have been promoted earlier at least to the bench, he sh*ts on Aiton. The Panthers owe their home crowd a top performance and the Knights are hopeless with Gidley at hooker. I forsee quite a blowout tonight.

The Titans came out playing really tough last week. They held a very hot Manly side for most of the game and ended up within or around that margin anyway.

The Roosters haven't been that hot of late and still suck with ball in hand.

My real worry is that Anasta will back up with his second good game of the year after being arse in origin. Then again, he might think he played well and clock off.

The tits haven't been that bad with Davis and surely he will only get better.

The warriors worry me and the cows still have Thurston. Whilst you'd expect it to be an easy win, both those teams are very temperamental and bascially scare me out of doing anything more interesting.

Gold Coast were fantastic last week, if you'd asked me at the 60 minute mark for the winner I'd have said Titans and yeah Davis is a decent player.

True but the Titans at Skilled Park are a completely different animal as opposed to them on the road especially at SFS where they have never been competitive in the past.

Roosters may subscribe to the Six Pocket Theory, but hey it's been working for them. I worry about the ability of the Titans' backline to deal with the high ball. They are also pretty rubbish away.
