Credible list, Inglis played 5 minutes this year and is in the top 20.

They have this disclaimer at the beginning of the article - "Once again, our list simply ranks the best players in the game – not the best players of the 2017 season."

I don't know WTF that is supposed to mean.... Presumably Peta Hiku could be on the list now that he is coming back to play for the Warriors.... if it's "not the best players of 2017" then how is Nathan Clearly at #50? He wasn't in the top 50 players in 2016.... So obviously it IS taking 2017 form in to account.... Stupid concept

Not to denegrate Cooper Cronk but you'd surely have to snort enough coke until your nose drops off to think that he's a better footy player than Taumalolo.

That's just typical 'spine favouritism'.

Cronk has engineered himself into a great halfback. Where as Lolo is a once in a generation genetic freak with gifts we've never seen before.

The likes of DCE and Gallen in the top 10 are also lolworthy. Both ahead of Surgess just to name 1? Give over.

Not to mention Milford at no.22 and the man who gave him one of the great baths on Friday in Luke Keary, who has also had a much better season, not even on the list.

But yes, these things are subjective and you'll never please everyone.

Must have been compiled by a Queenslander.

Five of the Top 10 are Maroons while three of the other five are either ineligible or weren't picked.

Shocking list with Inglis at 14. Ha f**king ha. Nate Myles should be above him because at least he played one SOO.

If 2017 form is the yardstick for this list, Angus Crichton should be in Top 25.

36. Dane Gagai

Im assuming thats Queensland Dane Gagai as opposed to the one who trots out for Newcastle

I also cant imagine theres a single person in the world, apart from the person who wrote this article, who would prefer Shaun Johnson in their side over Michael Morgan

Have we won 10 of the last 11 series? Origin as the showpiece of the game deserves the weighting.

Sure does, Jake Friend at 25? Should be 125.

Cordner 16? 25-30 at best.

James Graham at 20? Is this the 2014 top 50?
Yes yes, Pearce is overrated. Friend and Cordner are overrated. And they're our only 3 in the top 50.

And in your next sentence you'll accuse us of being over the cap because of how many stars we have.

Assuming this list was done before Gallen dropped the semi yesterday?

Also Jackson hasn't done anything of note since origin last year, not sure how he gets in there at all.
