Ricky has been saying all along that he see's Hayne as a 6.

You put Hayne at 6 and Folau in the 1 and suddenly you have two of your best attacking weapons handling the ball as much as they should. Folau on the wing is a waste of $600k

Agree...when he played for Storm and Broncos he really just ran hard and straight lines and scored tries off bombs.

He does not the agility to beat a player or be positionally sound like Slater and Stewart IMO if they were play him at fullback.

You can pay an elite center big bucks you just have to have the halves and a game plan tht will get him lots of quality ball.

And Folau at fullback wont work. Has all the skills but just not quick enough.

If every player got paid what the journos say they do, almost every club would be over the cap. We apparently have Blair on 500k, Lote on 400k, Benji on 500k and Farah on 500k. That was almost half our salary cap, and it doesn't say what we were paying Ellis, Lawrence, Heighington or Galloway who are all internationals.

A. He has some of the necessary attributes
B. He is a fantastic athlete and Sticky will back him to learn the rest.
C. Sticky has always felt that Hayne is a 5/8
D. You don't pay $600k / year for a winger

Well now you've changed your argument from 'I think he should' to 'I think he will'. Whether he does or not is irrelevant to my arguments made, I don't think he should and I don't think he has the ability to do so (which was your original argument).

I wouldn't put anything past Sticky, the bloke played with 4 backrowers on the bench in origin 3 and thought Bhurer had the ability to play as a dummy half in game 1. However I'd be surprised if even he couldn't see how blatantly obvious it is that Folau will never make it at fullback.

Long servics dispensation (200k) & third party deals are factors that also need to be considered. This is something that never seems to be reported in the newspapers. For example I'd be surprised if 100k or Marshall's contract isn't third party sponsors, ditto Farah.

I would think Hopoate would be the one to switch to fullback. Seems to be a bit smarter with better "footy sense", if you know what I mean. Also I think he would be a bit better at ball playing than Folau.

However in saying all that I'm still not sure that moving Hayne is the right option.he is just so damn good at fullback (when he's in form)

theres no doubt Parramatta will have a very potent backline in the next few seasons
