Couldn't care less about code wars shit, I'm just happy that an incredible talent will be playing league again next year. I felt for him quite a bit the way they were ripping into him towards the end of last season.

Folau is a meh signing if he's anything more than 400k. He's not in league shape, hasn't played in a while and is most damaging in the air rather than running the ball. He can make Sandow look good on his kicks but that's about it I reckon. He's marketable, so if the Eels signed him for that it's a nice move.

In 2014 that team will be over the cap on backs alone though. Sandow, Hayne, Tonga, Hopoate?

I wouldn't give him more than 250k in his first year.

I disagree with you on running the ball though, he was the player I'd back to score a try from 10m out with 3 guys covering him. He was very strong before he left...

So the big corpse will return to League. What a waste of cash by the AFL
They comfortably made their money back in terms of the publicity he generated for the club. It was never about his onfield ability, more his off field headlines.

Bit sad for Folau but hey, he knew what he was getting into.

Stick a fork in the GWS Midgets ass...

They are dead.....

90% of the time they were in the Telegraph was on the back of Folau...

Tonga will be gone. He only signed for 2 years.

They got the publicity early on, but then it did F all for their crowds. Falou became a laughing stock.

Izyy looked like a good player when surrounded by stars at the Storm/Queensland,put him in a team like Parramatta and he will show what a no hoper he is.

He is about a year away from being in "League" shape or match fitness. Basically similiar to when Gringles signed with Souffs, but on the other end of the spectrum (i.e. not too fat, too skinny).

But having said that, welcome back Izzy still in his prime and with years to play.

cutie will be back eventually, but may be in "semi-retirement" mode by then.

I don't really understand what headlines they were going for, to me this wholw thing with folau and hunt makes the afl look bad. The message I got was NRL athletes are superior to afl athletes. Imagine if an afl guy just waltzed into the nrl and got paid millions. You'd just think "wow afl guys must be amazing athletes". Ofcourse, no one in the afl could even survive an nrl game. Doesn't really matter that folau didn't excel, is that what they were going for "look at how shit this big poly is at aussie rules, lol"? Don't think he was bad enough to make aussie rules look good, it comes out looking like amateurish shit filled with unco dork players. But we kind of knew that anyway.

Where has all this news come from? Finally something for us League fans to sink our teeth into.

Good to see Folau is back. Despite his mercenary tendancies he's a player of obvious talent who is capable of delivering some amazing highlights. The rumoured move to the Eels is certainly interesting and I for one quite like it. Finally gives their supporters something to crow about after three disappointing seasons and sets them up as serious top 8 smokies.

But the best piece of news is the AFL paid a big price for 'publicity' that clearly delivered short of the mark. It's a win for Rugby League and further signs that the future of the code is looking brighter than ever.

Robbo thinks Izzy will return as a kicking half as he can now kick a ball 60 metres thanks to the AFL and he won't be able to gain the weight again to play anywhere else.

What a f**king spastic this AFL teet sucking gnome is.
