Izyy looked like a good player when surrounded by stars at the Storm/Queensland,put him in a team like Parramatta and he will show what a no hoper he is.

This is bullsh*t. He won't come back the player he was but he was fantastic when he left. Best player under the high ball and had fantastic strength when running the ball. He could carry multiple defenders after being hit and was very hard to stop near the line.

If he gets anywhere near back to top form NSW are going to be screwed even more. Replacing a nuffie winger like Boyd for him is a pretty awesome trade.

Any gym rats want to chime in on how long it would take exactly to put back on what he lost?

Eels should be made premiership favs for next year. In the next couple of weeks they have to massive signings in Folau and Gareth Hock and hayne will also re-sign these 3 will be announced in a couple of weeks at the same time

I would LOL if they folded

The Giants won't fold because Folau left them.....the AFL have a lot of $ and won't back down even if the Giants average crowd for the next 2 decades is 4k (which it probably will be).

As for Folau - he never should have left - great player and money isn't everything. He was on a fair wicket anyway in league - wonder if he can get back to where he was before? Going to take a lot of work to do so. That's the big question.

I'll be happy if Folau plays Origin. Means Brent Tate got dropped and he's much better than Folau right now.

That's the big question - think there will be a difference between getting it all back and then feeling comfortable with it. Probably can get it back pretty quickly, getting used to it something different entirely.

Context? I missed it.

They said that the afl won't be feeling so smug tonight after their audacious and arrogant experiment has ended in failure. Pretty much word for word, then mentioned he might be off to union but probably Parra. It was pretty harsh.

I wouldn't give him more than 250k in his first year.

I disagree with you on running the ball though, he was the player I'd back to score a try from 10m out with 3 guys covering him. He was very strong before he left...

Folau could run the ball due to his size, but I always felt that his ball running skills could have been better. I can't recall any Origin moments where Folau was running the ball succesfully, most of his highlights were under the high-ball. He doesn't even have size now, I expect him to struggle big time. He'll be weak defensively as well. I don't see Parramatta reaping the benefits if they sign him for a while.

Hopoate play left or right? Would be pretty unfortunate to have him sitting outside Folau.
