You got me. As someone who did not fall for masterchef I can hold no valid opinion about the footy reality show.

You will enjoy your fandom much more without me. So enjoy.

wikipedia has an entry, and nrldream.com.au has a splash page up :)
pity Im ineligible... :(

Id love to see this be more international in the future.
We could have entrants from all nations (anyone who hasnt played club footy in ENG, NZ, AUS) enter. 1 forward and 1 back from each country. 2 positions up for grabs, a backs contract in NRL and a forwards contract in SL for example. Imagine a Serbian/Russian amateur, or someone from a Union background in USA come and have a crack, and the positive media spin in both countries as well as the possibility to onsell the TV rights to those countries with competitors involved. Imagine the Union guys who might be willing to give it a crack as an avenue to get paid to pay?!

Great awareness for international footy. I think it would be a worthwhile investment for the RLIF to support it.

this is a joke, thehy cant be serious, they are reducing our great game into something of a novlety act. i cant wait to see if they can cook better than a dancing fifth grader. cant they do something similiar but maybe more classier like not having it as a reality tv show but as maybe a one week summer camp from a group of players who have been nominated from say each competion like bundabr=erg competition or group 1

p.s ive seen football superstar and i cant believe they came up with that either

Surely going one round with a woman and abseiling down a street pi55ed on your face would be more appropriate??

What masses would watch the average show on Pay TV? Generally an average of 0.03% of the viewing audience watches a particular Pay TV channel. If the total viewing audience is 4 million, that's only 1200 people. And those 1200 would be people with a specific interest.

On fta, you would get more channel surfers likely to have a look. And a lot more than 1200 viewers.

I'm wondering what the challenges are trying to prove. Boxing - yeah I can see that playing Brett White. Abseiling? Apart from being stuck in a toilet cubicle with Thaiday....?

Waiting for the Queenslanders to whinge that the contestant should be abseiling down the Storey Bridge.

Bring it on.
Got the green light from the wife to get fox.:D

The more NRL the better for me. That's why I am on here in the off season, just to wet the juices regarding anything NRL.

Seriously how can you bag this show without watching it.. FFS if you find it lame after watching it THEN go to town bagging it out. But I love my footy and if it converts more fans to our great than it repels, then in my opinion power to the show.

I will not judge anything until I myself have experienced it. (and yes I judge AFL as a crap
game.Having had a go at playing 1 season at school and I did watch a game once. Time I will never get back)
