,
I don't think we fear Brisbane, we are a chance. They have better players overall. Feels a bit like the preliminary against the Storm in Melbourne in '11. We need a performance like that. Super exciting, anything now is gravy for us. What a great year. Hope it's not over this weekend or if it is, we go down in style.
I was at that game in Melbourne and yeah I think we can go into this one with the same mindset. No pressure, just rip in knowing they’re on a high and everything they achieve is a bonus. Our forwards were amazing in that game, just marched up field and didn’t make a mistake all or concede a penalty in the first half.

Mid-week I was thinking how I just wished I had a normal weekend coming up, you know, without the stress of a Warriors pre-lim final.

It's Friday now and reality has kicked in! This won't be normal and I'm excited about that.

Game day, Up the Pahs, sooner Melbourne is gone the better

Had enough of Brisbane too, my hatred for them isn’t as strong as back in the day, but over Tallis on 360 in regards to them. Big upgrades for Walsh and Mam about to be signed which will mean finding over 1 million a year in the cap, “no drama at all, people will stay for less” etc, later in the show they run a story about Olakau’atu extending with Manly, “gee their cap must be tight”. Chat about the ridiculous broncos draw which saw 3/24 games played in Sydney when half the comp is based there, “so, what’s wrong with that, it isn’t the NSWRL any more”
I read Arko's book a while ago and was particularly interested in the ARL v Super League chapter. Arko disliked the Broncos from the very beginning and even argued strongly against their inclusion in the NSWRL in '88! In sum he was adamant that they never had the best interests in the game at heart but were all about money and their own, narrow, interests.

That is on my list of books to read but has been impossible to track a copy down of it !

Fascinating time all that, listened to Gus Gould saying he was coaching the Roosters in 95, Ricky Stuart wanted out of the Raiders and was a guest of the Roosters who were going to sign him, early in the day Sticky asked Gus if they were going to be a Super League club, Gus had no idea at all what he was talking about as it was before it all broke, and then Sticky vanished for the rest of the day haha

Still remember Meninga saying “Rugby league has done nothing for me” and Daley saying he “was going to be a household name in China”

Lots of free tickets given away (I guess on the camera side).
To big a stadium for 2 teams not really liked that much lately outside of their fans and Melbourne can't even sell out their own home stadium.

Great first defensive set by Storm, but 2nd set penalty gives Panthers field position and easy score, Storm defensive line poor spacing.
