We don't have the on-field leadership to dispute decisions or hold the ref to account when the opposition is off side or when there is a forward pass. Smith is always at it and although he rarely gets a decision reversed, you can be sure the next 50/50 goes his way.

Personally, I feel there’s preconceived bias against SGI that “stronger leadership” won’t fix. Please refer to my long-winded diatribe for details over the past 35 years. Remember, a lot of this behaviour went unabated when the club had stoic captains such as Rogers, Young, Potter and Coyne.

Not much can be done when an organisation has agenda against you.
